Decent turnout. Wolves isn't the most appealing of away trips at the best if times, when you are stuck in the bottom tier of that side stand.

The last 2 games have seen the average drop by 25 to 1695.

I've never been. What's the problem? Obstructed view? Too close to pitch level?

Fans spread the whole length of the pitch, in a lower team that's not very deep. Notoriously difficult to get an atmosphere going, when I went we were at one end singing a song and the fans at the other end were singing something different, doesn't take much to confuse us footie fans

I didn't know about that; thanks for the warning. There are various eventualities (relegation/non-relegation, Derby/Burton, etc.) that could make it crucial information.

They used to do it that if you took only a small away following you got a bit off one of the end stands I think. I'm sure we got that once. But usually we take enough to have the side stand as it's not a very far trip.

It used to be 1600 in the Stan Cullis end and if you wanted more than that you'd get 2700 in the Steve Bull side stand. As we took less than 1600 I guess they are just putting fans in the Steve bull stand now.

Is that about the amount Burton are generally taking away?

I don't know, jimbo: I can't always get the figure when I want it. I've just found out that only 445 went to Preston, which is not much further than Wigan, while 446 made the trip to Reading. There were more than 1000 Brewers fans at Forest and at Molineux, and I expect the same to be true of Villa and Birmingham. I told you a while ago that Burton's away following was, surprisingly, bigger than QPR's and Fulham's, but I'm not sure if that's still the case. Still, Burton's away following doesn't look too bad as a proportion of their home crowd, particularly when you consider that away fans often make up a fifth of the crowd at the Pirelli.

Yeah 500-1000 for the "bigger" games is a good effort.

Can't seem to find a website that states how many Rams fans went to Fulham.

Fulham - 3113 (but does not include pay on the day sales, so is a bit higher)

QPR - 1043

Some good numbers there, Fulham is one of those places we always seem to take big numbers.

3113 is very good. Anyone know if Craven Cottage still has the 'neutral' section that it had when Fulham were in the Premier League? Home fans, away fans and true neutrals were all allowed to go in it. Fulham were the only club in the Premier League to have a 'neutral' section. The very low incidence of trouble at the ground (the lowest in the Premier League) appears to be behind the authorities' decision to allow them to set up a 'neutral' section. I have not read any accounts of trouble in the 'neutral' section, only reports of good banter between home fans and visitors.

Yeah a bit like Barnsley and Sheff Wed, we always seem to turn out for Fulham.
