Derby have spent money but no where near the two sides he earned promotion with and with QPR he barely did it

According to the BBC apparently Redknapp's role will be a short term assistant to Wassall

On the plus side, there's no transfer window for him to spend loads of money on mercenaries.

It's fair to say Wassall needs some help, he is looking out of his depth at the moment.

Redknapp will manage the Jordan NT's final two WC qualification matches against Bangladesh and Australia as their last manager finds himself in prison, until they find themselves a permanent replacement for the final round of qualifying.

So Redknapp says he won't be in the dug out or in contact on matchdays. He will be in the directors box. So other than lining his pockets what actually is the point of him being here??

I don't get him not being on the bench, that's were Wassall needs his help.
