Paul Clement sacked!

Slick Rick asked the question with the Fulham match thread, the answer was yes. Clement has officially been sacked and Darren Wassall has been put in charge.

Pretty surprising despite the poor run of form

The press release meanwhile was bizarre, what the hell is the 'Derby way'?

You're gonna get Moyes.

Without it gravity is just gravy.

Erm I think he means fast attacking football, there's mean a lot of disgruntled locals, with clement slow passing style.

Heard this rumour, trying to find it from a reliable source.

Official statement says Darren Wassall in charge until the end of the season. Surely it's just until a replacement comes in? Surely Clement hasn't been sacked and we have no idea of the next manager?

I wonder what happened to Paul Clement will get a full year and promotion this season isn't a must? Have the goalposts been moved with the amount that has been spent?

If they genuinely intend to leave Wassall in charge, it makes it a strange decision, unless there is more to it than we are being told.

Seems a bit harsh, the statement by the club I found a bit strange.

Surely we must have someone lined up, and we're not going to rely on a coach until the end of the season? We need an experienced manager in.

John Peacock has also left the club, no news on Phillips or Zuberbuhler yet.

Also we apparently had a tactical analyst and he has left as well.

What we don't want is anymore pass the parcel with the captains armband. If keoghs the man chosen for the job leave him in the role to the end of the season.

Wassall has confirmed his coaching staff, Craig Short, Pat Lyons, Kevin Phillips and Pascal Zuberbuhler.

Chairman said yesterday we will not be under threat of ffp sanctions if we didn't get promoted. All the signing we have made are being paid in instalments, so we haven't actually spent 25 million yet. Have to trust the chairman knows his figures.

If Morris has kept us inside FFP spending all that money, the man is a genius.

Derby deny that Nigel Pearson was approached for the job. According to a BBC article the job is attractive and many managers are showing interest
