Bolton v DERBY @ macron stadium 8/8/15

Opening fixture away at Bolton. Not sure what the formation will be. Not sure who will play. Not sure who will be captain. Not really sure what to expect of the opposition.

Lots of questions to be answered on Saturday.

Chris Baird has been confirmed as captain. No surprise to me, only other possibility was Shackell. But Baird has more experience and has captained his country.

Think clement always brought Baird in as captain. Like he said in the paper though, you need a team of leaders, and we have a few now. Something we didn't really have last year, especially during that farcical run in, where injuries to key leaders on the pitch, Martin and Eustace really showed up.

Looking at the other mbs, no one can agree on a formation a settled line up, or even who's first choice keeper.

Sure it will be 4-2-3-1 to begin with, which can easily be adapted if we need to go on the attack.

Carson, Christie, Pearce, Shackell, Warnock, Thorne, Baird, Ince, Hughes, Wiemann, Martin

Not sure about Christie, but he will get a chance with a more solid team around him.

Hmm think Forsyth will start, not sure on Martins fitness so maybe it will be Bent for this one.

Russell's pre season form makes me want him to start, but I don't want to leave out any of ince, Wiemann or Hughes.

Still think it could be the diamond 442. Though could be anything. Id only confidently state that Thorne and Ince will definitely start.

Ream has been Bolton's Player of the Season in the last two campaigns
Close Team news
Defender Tim Ream, a transfer target for QPR, is a doubt for Bolton after returning from United States duty with a dead leg.
New signing Derik Osede (ankle) and David Wheater (calf) will also be missing, but centre-back Prince-Desir Gouano could make his debut.
Derby defender Jake Buxton is still out with a back injury sustained in March.
Craig Bryson is expected to recover from a tight hamstring while new signing Darren Bent could start.
Close Match facts
Bolton haven't won in their last five matches against Derby (D3 L2).
The Rams are unbeaten in their last six opening day matches, winning four (D2).
Derby recorded the best shot conversion rate in the Championship last season (19.32%).
No player scored more than eight goals last season for Bolton, but Darren Bent scored 10 in 15 appearances and Tom Ince scored 11 in 18 for Derby after they both arrived on loan in the new year.
No Championship side made more errors leading directly to goals in 2014-15 than the Rams (13).
Bolton have scored just one goal across their last three opening day fixtures.

Some disagreement on the formation, some people claiming it's 4231 and some it's 433. It could be any of the 3 with those players. Put radio derby to see what they're saying .

Bryson off injured for Hendrick.

Bryson was a doubt coming into the game, surprised Hendrick didn't start.

Now Hughes off injured, bloody hell. Shotton on at right back, Baird into midfield. I'd guess it's 4231 now.

Hughes stretchered off as well

Think we need Wiemann on, but with the 2 subs due to injuries think clement might want to hold off on another sub.
