I think its a tricky one for the start of the season to be honest opening up with Peterborough at Pride Park, because this very much reminds me of last season of entertaining Doncaster at Pride Park, which obviously was a dreadful performance and dreadful result, and Marko Perripoppins or something!!

Could go either way to be honest, because after watching dribs and drabs of Peterborough they look a very good footballing team, and it will be a case of seeing what team turns out in August!!

Derby open the season with a 2:1 victory over newly promoted Peterborough United. It looked like both teams would share points when Posh tied the match in the 84th minute but three minutes later Teale scored the winner.

Encouraging start, we got of to a great start playing passing football, and took the lead from a Addison header set up by Buxton, them two were brilliant at the back, silencing the critics of signing a player from burton, also the lad from Exeter, Moxey had a very good game, and even the lad from Ilkestin Town, Ben pringle came on and did well. Lee Croft looked good too, considering the amount of injuries, you couldn't ask anymore from the team today, a fantastic start!

3:2 loss to Scunthorpe, seems like this will be a season where we will struggle away from home

well, poor defending again, hopefully Barker is now fit and can make a difference, still think we need another defender in though.

they left it late but its still a good win against Plymouth. Addison scored the winner in the final minute

Derby are 10th in the league, three points behind the leaders Middlesborough and only one point behind a playoff spot (I know its early!) but at least we have a six point gap on the relegation spots which is good

next up is Forest away, who are not off to a good start in the season

Good win, we're going steady, not played any of the top teams yet, but with yet more injury troubles at the start of the season it was important to get points on the board. Up to 9th above Bristol City who lost 3-0 at Cardiff on sunday

yeah, not good losing two games in a row at home, was expecting better but in reality this is only a mid table team. There is no way we would be able to compete with the likes of Newcastle, WBA, Boro and Sheffield United for promotion

I also can't see us taking three points at Palace, we struggle so much away from home, even though Palaca are also off to a bad start

finally a win! 1:0 home win against Bristol City and Derby are 16th in the table with 10 points. They are exactly five points from the final playoff spot and the final relegation spot. Expect to be mid-table all season, the away form is not so good

Much needed win, the defence lookd more solid, Leacock and Barker both had good games.

Not too good away from home then?

Still good to see Shaun Barker has improved himself by moving to a better team!
