Kenny Miller - we've actually signed someone!
KENNY MILLER IS A RAM - EXCLUSIVE
Posted on: Fri 31 Aug 2007
Scottish international striker Kenny Miller completed his transfer from Celtic on transfer deadline night, the official dcfc.co.uk website can exclusively eveal.
One of a rare group of players to have turned out for both Glasgow clubs, Miller has signed a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee. He won't feature in Derby County's match at Liverpool tomorrow having not signed ahead of Friday's 12 noon registration cut-off.
Said boss Billy Davies: "We are delighted to have added to the squad a player with outstanding commitment and a never-say-die attitude who will be a real handful for back-fours in the Premier League. He is a proven goal-scorer both at club and international level and gives us a different option up front."
The 27 year-old made his name north of the border as a youngster at Hibernian before joining Rangers for £2-million in the summer of 2000.
He spent 18 months at Ibrox before moving south to join Wolverhampton Wanderers, initially on loan before completing a £3-million move to the Molineux side in December 2001.
Miller netted 61 goals in 186 games for Wolves, including a season in the Premier League in 2003/04, before he made the switch to the other half of the Old Firm and joined Celtic at the expiry of his contract in 2006.
He has registered 11 goals in the green and white, including three in two games this season, and has 32 international caps - with a further seven goals - to his name.
