Norwich v DERBY @ Carrow Road 06.03.07

Our game in hand then, Norwich had a good win over Barnsley at the weekend, but on the whole have been struggling. We've had an extra days rest as well.

Michael Johnson is going to be out for 6 weeks and Leacock probably won't be back, so I'd play Mceveley centre back and Mears or Camara left back.

After the great win against Colchester it's important we don't follow it up with a crap performance and lose.

Big game, a win would be a massive result for us to put daylight between ud and West Brom and Sunderland, and go to Birmingham in confident mood.

I predict a 1-0 Derby win.

TEAM NEWS

Derby: Dean Leacock remains a doubt as he continues to recover from the hand injury he sustained during the defeat against Stoke.

The situation is the same for Stephen Pearson, who is suffering from a foot injury and missed out on the 5-1 win over Colchester United.

Michael Johnson is definitely out after hobbling off during Friday night's success.

Initial fears were that Jonno had suffered a knee ligament injury but that has proved not to be the case, though instead he has a hamstring problem.

Norwich: None available at the time of writing.

THE REFEREE

Last time Lee Probert took charge of the Rams they picked up a memorable away win - 2-1 at Preston North End on New Year's Day.

Derby will be happy with a repeat of that scoreline, as they will be with Probert's previous Derby assignment, November's 2-1 success at Coventry City.

The Gloucestershire official has taken charge of 27 games this season and issued 80 yellow cards, with a further five dismissals.

Hopefully Lupoli gets another decent slice of the game and Derby get the 3 pts. I predict 2-0 Derby considering they won the last game well... Howard to score the first and Lupoli to come on and finish the game off.

Some good news. Leacock is fit too play, Norwich have striker troubles as well, Dublin and Earnshaw are definately out, and some young lad called Martin is a doubt. We will need to keep Huckerby quiet, if we can we should be alright.

Norwich v Derby - (Home 7/4 Draw 9/4 Away 5/4)

Peter Grant hopes to have Chris Martin available, although the young striker will require a fitness test on his ankle.

Fellow forwards Dion Dublin and Chris Brown are both missing but defender Jason Shackell should be available.

Derby go into the game without experienced defender Michael Johnson who could be out for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury.

Davies may be forced into recalling Dean Leacock early with Richard Jackson and Paul Boertien injured.

Skysports.com prediction 1-3

I like Sky's prediction A performance like that would be nice, buy I'd take a 1-0.

GGGGEEEETTTT IIIINNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!

To be honest I had a bit of a dodgy feeling about this one, but that's a fantastic 2-1 win, Norwich gave us a really good game, and will probably feel they deserved something from it, what a win for us, Jonesy with a couple of cracking goals and we're back on top as we travel down to Brum

And Norwich had the ball in the net too make it 2-1 but the offside flag went up Knew we'd win from that moment, was a good performance 2nd half after being totally outplayed for most of the 1st, was a bit odd we went 1-0 down after finally taking control of the game, but oh well.

Just realised the thing above my avatar still says Super Stead I'll have to change that...

some farmer bloke was just on the radio saying how they were robbed. those undeserved wins are always the best in a promotion season, we did Norwich 3-2 a couple of years back despite being awful. now go and thrash the boring blues

also today's result is the conclusive proof that

Norwich are a right bunch of winging tossers, fair enough they outplayed us 1st half, but we still created chances, 2nd half we we're easily the better team, and could have had a 3rd or 4th, it was no way near the daylight robbery that took place at St Mary's

Peter Grant said they controlled 95% of the game Wonder what game he was watching, I've noticed him before winging about having all the game, when they've lost 2-0 or asomething, he's clearly an expert in talking bollocks.

Yes it is Billy has done some fantastic work in the transfer market, the Jones deal is the best of the lot though.

Massive win, in what was a very tricky fixture, Jones has been a great signing, and he doesn't score tap ins does, always seem to be great goals.

Actually you could probably argue that Leacock has been the best signing the centre of defence has been a real problem for us for a number of seasons, and when we signed Jones we knew he was a good player, and we knew what Howard was all about.

When Leacock signed it as, Dean Who? But he's been immense.
