Leeds v DERBY @ Elland Road 9.12.06

We haven't won at Elland Road since 1974

But Davies has broken a few bad sequences already this season, the league cup and Coventry 2 that spring to mind, so maybe another one is on the cards.

Might be travelling too my 5th away game in a row, wasn't too keen at first, because the poxy corner they give away fans is horrible, but we've got a full away allocation now, so I might go.

It's an important game too see how we bounce back from the West Brom defeat.

Given our current form you might very well do it this time

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim

It could be a good omen for a league title as well

Draws never a terrible result in this division, especially away.

As jimob was saying, a draw really is meaningless is this division because you are guarenteed that at least one of the other sides around will be winning games as well

We seem too have loads of these records of not winning at places for years, I think Preston is another one.

Yeah, don't think we've won at Deepdale for a long time, not sure how long, we went years without winning at West Ham before the play off season, I remember when we won 5-2 at Hilsbrough, that was the first time we'd won their in 20 odd years, we've made up for it recently though

the poxy corner at leeds is far better than most away sections...luton,,southend and cardiff spring to mind....

i think we'll have you though, our team finally seems to be functioning,we need some luck though

I'll have too disagree with Cardiff and Luton, Cardiff is awesome, for the rare chance too stand on a terreace, and Luton might be crap but at least you get a whole end. Can't comment on Southend, as I've never been there yet.

I don't blame you though away fans should be cramped in a corner and made too feel unwelcome

The pre match talk of the team selection continues to be an interesting one, we still haven't come across a settled and universally agreed best 11.

I really do hope Oakley is fit for Saturday, we missed him at West Brom, IMO the spine of the team is Bywater/ Leacock / Oakley - Seth / Howard, and at West Brom the middle of the spine had been taken out, Davies got it wrong dropping Seth, but he must have had his reasons, but I hope he's back in the team for this one, especially at it being at Elland Road

I'd still like too see Smith in the team, but at least on the bench, if not then Lupoli on the left, at least he's a natural left footer, maybe play Bisgaard and give Barnes another rest, and hope he comes back refrshed just like after his last rest

Derby: The Rams should be boosted by the availability of Michael Johnson and skipper Matt Oakley.

Johnson limped off during the defeat to West Bromwich Albion with a hamstring injury, though is expected to be fit.

Oakley has missed the last two games with a calf strain but he will benefit from a week's training behind him and should be OK.

Bob Malcolm continues to make progress after his ankle injury but is not expected to be considered.

Leeds: Midfielder Kevin Nicholls is on the comeback trail after being out since September with a knee injury.

He played in a behind-closed-doors friendly this week but is unlikely to be ready to face Derby.

Matthew Kilgallon has missed the last two games with an ankle injury and has been working on his fitness, but the player himself doesn't expect to be ready.

THE REFEREE

Somerset's Steve Tanner gets a Derby game for the second time in a matter of weeks - and Rams fans will be hoping the same result goes there way.Tanner was in charge for the 2-0 win at Luton Town on November 18, and a repeat will go down nicely.

His tally from 18 games this season is 38 yellow cards and two dismissals.

Great news about Oakley, I think he will be straight back in, Johnson probably will be as well, though I wouldn't agree with that.

I hope we can bounce back with a win, our record at Leeds is a worry, we've managed a few draws though and I wouldn't be too upset with a point, it all adds on too the tally.

I'm gonna predict a 1-1 draw, Howard to score.

Game predction time, I think im gonna for a Derby win actually, I have a feeling tha Davies will get them really jeed up for this one espcially after his history with them last year with Preston!!!

Im gonna go for a 2-0 Derby win, with Howard getting both!!
