Teams: Derby County, Burton Albion
Team of the Season
Inigo Idiakez and Andrew Davies have been named in the Championship team of the season based on top individual match ratings.
Davies, who joined Derby County on loan from Middlesbrough, features in defence alongside ex-Ram Danny Higginbotham (Southampton), Jon Harley (Burnley) and Neil Cox (Cardiff City). Dava recorded the season's highest marks for a defender with his two goals against Norwich in December which earned him a rating of 0.57, ahead of Cox on 0.53.
The Actim Index is the official ratings system for the Barclays Premiership and Coca-Cola Championship, which has been statistically proven to identify the best players. Each player earns points based on their positive actions during the game (such as shots, saves and tackles), their time on the pitch, the final match result and goals scored.
Idiakez features in midfield alongside Matthew Spring (Watford), Dennis Wise (Coventry) and Chris Brunt (Sheffield Wednesday). Ini hit the headlines with a last-minute goal to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 in March and earn a rating of 0.58.
Stoke goalkeeper Steve Simonsen took the number one jersey for an inspired display during a 2-1 win over Luton back in August which saw him score 0.27 points.
David Connolly's hat-trick in Leicester's 4-2 win over Stoke in August helped him secure the top individual match rating of the season. The Republic of Ireland international recorded a match score of 0.73 as his early-season endeavour paved the way for a £2million move to Barclays Premiership side Wigan later that month.
The experienced striker's 24-minute hat-trick saw him clinch the top-score award by just 0.02 points ahead of former Norwich striker Dean Ashton, also now plying his trade in the Premiership with fast-improving West Ham.
The 23-year-old, touted by many as possible future England international, also notched a hat-trick to help the Canaries to a 3-1 win over Southampton in December, earning a score of 0.71 shortly before joining Alan Pardew's side.
The feats of both players secured their spots in the Actim team which consists of the highest individual match tallies from goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and strikers throughout the campaign.
Idiakez also features in Actim's top 100 Championship players based on full 2005/06 statistics. He's in 63rd place with Player of the Year Tommy Smith in 24th and under-21 keeper Lee Camp in 93rd position. Reading's Kevin Doyle landed top spot
