Crystal Palace v DERBY

Well there's no restbite for the players, it's away at Palace tomorrow night. Wouldn't have minded going but I'm back at work tomorrow

Brown will probably succumb to the "fans" (word used loosely) pressure play 4-4-2 and we will get thrashed 5-0 with Andy Johnson running riot. and if Marco Reich is playing (i think he might be injured) he's a certainty too score.

You might have gathered from the Luton thread I got a bit pissed off yesterday

Its ok Jimbo mate , we will all look after you. In terms of tomorrow game, I think a draw is on the cards here. Andy Johnson is not the same striker he was 1 year ago I think, this maybe down to the fact he is not playing in the Premiership, but nevertheless if we can keep him quiet I think we will have a good chance of getting something from the game.

This game will I think be similar to the Cardiff game I feel, with a draw the most likely outcome. I'm gonna go for a 1-1 draw

Marco Reich is fit again, and could play, I can really see him scoring......and now that I'm not pissed off, I tihnk it will probably be 1-1 as well

I think i'll go for the negative result as they always seem to get a better result when i do. Crystal Palace 2-1 Derby County.

or maybe being injured for 10 weeks has something to do with it

It's bloody freezing out and I fully expect the game to be called off 10 mins before kick off in typical palace style
Macken and Watson are banned ,so there is a good chance Marco Reich will start.

*Edit* Just heard Reich isn't in the squad.

Bloody hell, sounds like we played alright, plenty of possesion, but no-one putting the ball in the net, and we gave a sloppy goal away and conceeded from a set piece....we don't want to start doing that again.

Gotta give a pat on the back too the 759 Derby fans who travelled for over 4 hours to get down there in this weather

Another game, where no real chances are made, I think the time is now to really address this issue, because we starting to slowly slip back down to the table again, a striker is a MUST, its not a TRYING OR MAYBE its a MUST, because we will continue to slip down the table until this issue is addressed

We made plenty of chances, Smith had 3 chances , Idiakez had a couple off the top off my head, we just didn'y make anything of the chances.

Derby played pretty well,we scored totally against the run of play in the first half If you still had the big Pole in your side he'd have had a field day aginst our ropey defence.
Second half we closed your midfield down a lot quicker and got more of a grip on the game.

You need a forward,we need a midfielder.Fancy a swap? Macken for Idiakez

Throw in Morrison as well and I'd be happy, Idiakez is finding it hard this year against most teams, who man mark, theirs still a few teams who are foolish enough to give him the freedom of the pitch, it's not hard to find out who, just look at who we've beat.

And don't get me started on how much we miss Rasiak, I'd be here all day.

Full-back Richard Jackson is Derby County's representative in the latest Coca-Cola Championship team of the week.

Statistics showed that Jacko was one of the division's top-performing defenders in the Boxing Day fixtures, when he had a fine afternoon on the right of the Rams' back-four.

The 25-year-old has been at Pride Park since signing from Scarborough in 1999 and has this season celebrated his 100th appearance for the club.

He is part of Boxing Day's best back four with Preston's Claude Davis, Burnley's John McGreal and Brighton's Adam El-Abd.

Good to see Jacko getting some recognition, he doesn't get it too often.
