Classic Richard's Moment

I've been thinking about putting this thread up here for a while. For most Rams fans, Graham Richards was the voice of Derby County for many many years, and his usually passionate style of commentating was felt by most people who tuned in to Radio Derby every saturday afternoon.

As for some good old memorys, I thought I would put a link, so we can all here a Classic richard's moment

http://www.bbc.co.uk/derby/realmedia...1124forest.ram.

This is his thought by many to be his finest hour, as a commentator. It was the East Midlands derby in 1979. Forest had just won the European Cup and We were facing down the barrel of relegation. Just listen to the excitement of good olde Graham.

ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Legend

His most famous qouote has to be, Brian Deane went down like the Twin Towers, he nearly got the sack for that one.

He used to come out with some belters about referees as well, I remember one game, where he just screamed out " Birch the clown, this referee belongs in a circus"

Never mind goals, I demand you get the infamous millwall game up....

On the clock we have 18 minutes to play, crowd invasions permitting............oh dear there is a pitch invasion, classic.

Your wish is my command Jimbo

http://www.bbc.co.uk/derby/realmedia...2_millwall.ram

This one of the most Controversial moments, we have ever been involved in, The highly charged playoff semi-final vs Milwall, we were firm favourites going into the two legs, but it turns out the Millwall fans, got more attention than the game itself. This is the game at the New Den, in May 1994, and Derby are 3-0 up at this point, with Gabbidini, Johnson and a Pat Van Dan Hauwe own goal. But the Milwall fans have already
tried to stop the game with a pitch invasion in the first half. But would this stop them from doing it again?

Enjoy

http://www.bbc.co.uk/derby/realmedia...aan_palace.ram

One of the most important goals, in the club's recent, Van der laan's backpost header vs Crystal Palace in April 1996, jus relive the great moment

Hmm which one to go for now?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/derby/realmedia..._rotherham.ram

I opted for this one, cause of the importance of it. The game is 1-1 and Derby need to win to seal promotion back to the old divison 3.

Trevor Christie steps up to take a Penalty in the 80th mintue............................................ ........

I think this was Steel Neil, who got me into this one

http://www.bbc.co.uk/derby/realmedia...n_sheffwed.ram

One of the F.A cup classics, with Derby playin against Wednesday at the BBG, with the game hanging in the balance, Nicholson comes up with the goal of the century!!!!

Good old Graham Richards, absolutley lambasted Steve Cotteril for the whole game and said that Ade Akyinbyi is so inept it's funny. Then got told that Akinybyi was the top scoer in the leauge and replied "that shows how good this leauge is if he's top scorer"....what a guy.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/derby/realmedia...minn_spurs.ram

This from 1989, from everyone's favourite commentator Ted Mcminn. The tinman skins the spurs defence with his shear pace and drive, part of the good late 80s team we had the team along with Mark Wright, Peter Shilton and Dean Saunders
