Stoke v DERBY

I know I told Durkos I'd have this match thread up yesterday, but a trip too play football in the scums of Nottingham brought about it's usual hassle, as the local f'ucking scum bags broke into our changing rooms, and stole all our stuff, even nicking one players Ford Focus as well as evryone else's car keys, so I spent most of yesterday stranded in Nottingham waiting for the police freezing my bollocks off, with nothing but my football kit on, and then I've had bank accounts and mobile phones to cancel....and people wonder why I say the country would be a better place if a bomb was dropped on that sh1thole.

Anyway the game, a big one in the family, not as big as Villa, as that's who most of my imediate family support, but still a big one, we won our home game, so they can only equal bragging rights, that's a good thing, because I'm not exactly full of confidence at the minute, after a horrible day yesterday, I need some cheering up, so tomorrow night, do thid one thing for me please Derby, beat the dirty Stoke

Michael Johnson looks set too miss the Stoke game, get Nyatanga in not Thome, it's time to give the youngsters a chance.

Idiakez is doubtful with his hamstring, but the way he's been playing recently, in won't make a lot of diference, get Bolder in there with Seth, and lets battle for the points, hard work and tough tackling is need at the moment.

Well my confidence is at an all time low with derby at the moment, I can't see us winning the game, our defence is too weak, im gonna go for a 1-1 draw

Well I'm predicting a 1-0 defeat, I refuse to think about us getting thrashed by them, but I can see us losing

Edworthy is actualy fit again, wonder how long he will last this time, I'm sure our defence would be much better with Edworthy and Jackson as full backs.

It's hard to be confident at the minute, but we've beat them once, we've gotta hope we can do it again, we desperately need a win.

Hey, 2-1 in front just seconds before the end! Derby does you a favour jimbo
And now after our 0-2 defeat we´re only 3 points ahead again. I think it´s also time for us to take a look down the table.

YESSSS, What an important win for us, could be one of the most important win's from Phil Brown, If we hadn't at got ne thin from the game 2night, i would have feared for brown's job immensley. But it just shows you what one result can do for a team's confidence, Now we must continue this into saturday's away trip to Brighton.
But a special mention, must go to Lewin Nyantange, what a impressive performance for the team, I have always been adament that brown should play him in the side, and he looked like a really strong presence at the back today. Well done to all the team though.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel so much happier now, when we went 1-0 down I feared the worse, but for the 1st time this season the team dug in and fought for a win, great to see Smithy back fit and scoring. Nyatanga has got to keep his place, get rid of those loan signings and keep the youngsters involved.

It's a massive win, and lets hope it's a turning point in the season, and not a false dawn like the win at Pride Park.

Dunno if anyone else listening on the radio heard what the fans were singing, I had headphones in and you can hear background noise much better with them but it was this.....

WHO NEEDS MOURINIHO WE'VE GOT PHIL BROWNIO

I did start to doubt over the last week, and all the problems aren't solved yet, but I have and will continue too stick by him,

COME ON DERBY!!!

Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

"John Robertson was a very unattractive young man. If, one day, I was feeling a bit off colour, I would sit next to him. I was bloody Errol Flynn compared to him, but give him a yard of grass and he was an artist. The Picasso of our game"

He might have been the goalscoring hero but Lewin Nyatanga was the coolest man in the Britannia Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The 17-year-old, making only his second Coca-Cola Championship start, planted home a fine 69th-minute header to complete Derby's second-half comeback as they recorded a vital 2-1 win at Stoke City.

But while his team-mates mobbed him and the travelling fans were delirious, Nyatanga was as cool as a cucumber.

"I never score goals, not even for the U18 side!" he told www.dcfc.co.uk.

"The celebration was quite calm for me but that's just the way I am, I try to stay calm, but I could definitely feel the buzz around the ground.

"It was a big game for us and I'd tried to stay calm before the match, it wasn't until Tuesday afternoon that I really started to think about it.

"The goal was important for the team but so was Lee Camp's save shortly afterwards - I thought it was in but he got to it.

"A lot of my friends and family are Derby fans so they've always got a comment, thankfully tonight it will be a good one and I'm sure they'll all have something to say.

"Saturday at Brighton is now a big game and I hope to get the call, but that is now down to the manager."

Never mind just playing him, give him the captains armband McMinn commented on how he was the 1st too tell everyone to push out all the time, he's only 17 and he's the Wales u21 captain, it might only be Wales, but too be captain at 17, the youngest to ever do so, must mean he has leadership qualities, something our team has been lacking.

Does anyone even know who was captain last night?

Ok don't get ahead of yourself jimbo, remember we beat them 5 weeks ago, and then we jus collapsed after that. Its crucial we get something out of the game at the weekend, even a draw can keep the run going. But we must go down there positive.
