DERBY V qpr

The first of 2 home games in 5 days, the other against Ipswich, and we need all 6 points I reckon, and we should get them against these 2 mediocre teams

Andrew Davies is suspended for this game, I hope for the day when we can field a full strenth back 4 again!

Tommy Smith has pulled a hamstring, and could be out for a while. Bad news, he always plays well, but Johnnie Jackson could have a chance now, and maybe even Lee Holmes.

I would think Jackson will start, he has looked useful when he's come on, maybe a place on the bench for Holmes, but I don't know.

I´ve wrote it somewhere else yesterday. I think it´s going to be a close match and as it is away we will be happy with a draw. Draw away and win at home... let´s see what we achieve.

Yeah, you jumped the gun, and put it in the Hull match thread

We're on for a winner I can sense it, i'll not predict yet though, it's too early there could be vital injuries to come.

minimal win for Derby 1-0, the team is having troubles scoring but I don't think QPR can come to Pride Park and get the three points or even one

Smith has a tear in his hamstring, and will be out for at least 3 weeks, not good news.

Not good, could have been worse though I suppose. I thinkk Johhnie Jackson will start left midfield. Michael Kohnson back in for suspended Davies. And I think the team will stay the same as at Hull. Though I would bring in Nyatanga at centre back, push Edworthy over to right back, and get rid of Kenna.

I wonder if Blackstock will go straight into the starting line up, other players who have come in on loan have, I'd stick with John and Peschi myself, they did alright at Hull, bring Blackstock on too see if he can make an impact a sub.

Hmmm i wonder why we have actaully taken blackstock on loan?, i think it would have been more sensible to either get an older and more experianced striker with a proven goal-scoring record or to get a centrel defender, Can Brown actually find a defender who we can get on loan??

The day he walked in the Pride Park doors Brown has been looking for defenders, look at his first signings, Davies and Edworthy. He seems to be having trouble finding another. Blackstock is the replacemrnt for Hamdaoui i.e another young striker, John and Peschisolido are both old experienced strikers with good goal scoring records.

Seems as I've done it in the prediction league I can say my prediction now, 2-1 to the mighty Rams

Fancy Stern John to get his 1st goal, and Blackstock to come of the bench and get his 1st as well

We've signed Wigan Centre half Emerson Thome on a month's loan, which puts him right in frame, for the team on Saturday

Big and experienced centre back, we tried to get him before, but Wigan got a couple of injuries, so they wouldn't let him go, they must have cleared up now. He'll probably go straight into the team with Davies being out, I wonder what will happen when Davies comes back though?
