Brian Clough - one year on

One Year on from the great mans sad passing on, and finally the re naming of the A52, the road linking Derby and Nottingham is nearly done. They were at the factory making the road signs on Sky Sports News today, I'm not sure when the signs will go up. I'm trying to find some pictures of the signs as well, but not having much luck.

So I'll just post a couple of pictures of the great man, in rememberance, including a picture of him holding the greatest bit of silverware he ever won.....I'm sure Nico and Bartle will agree

Jimbo, the great man deserves a thread of rememberance (has it really be a year?) well done creating this mate.

He is greatly missed especially in this time when we have a lack of great managers - I would love to have seen what Cloughie would have done with the current England team.

RIP a great legend - the one and only BRIAN CLOUGH.

To be honest I didn't realise myself untill I went on a Derby website this morning, doesn't seem like it's been a year does it.

what about his knighthood? any progress?

Nothing mentioned - Should have happened years ago, before he died!

How Alex Ferguson got one before him is criminal. :frustrat:

Thanks mate - like I needed reminding :depress:

I know what you mean though, twenties is no longer teens and with it comes the pressure of becoming an adult. One of the best things about being in your 20's though is that it becomes easier with the women and you are about to have the best 10 years of your life.

It was horrible going from 20's to 30's - pressure is on for kids etc, problem is I only feel about 20 myself.

I remember signing a petition, to get him knighted, it was just a few weeks before he died. After that it all went a bit quiet.

I agree with you lot, Cloughie should have been knighted years ago. Plus Derby should have followed Forest's lead and named a stand at Pride Park after Cloughie.

Brian Clough, we will never see his like again will we ? imagine taking a team of journeymen from Div 2 to European Champions ? it will never happen with all the money now in the game.

The Great man is sorely missed, i wish he could take charge at derby right now, and sort the whole club out!!!!. He is probably one of, if not, the greatest ever manager, taking 2 average clubs in the midlands and making them both 2 of the best clubs in europe, take some beating i think

The guys a legend, other great managers and players of clubs might get some small road or street named after them, but Cloughie was so great, he gets an A road named after him. What he did in football was great, but the way he was as a man is what made him unforgetable, since he died last year, I have read so much stuff about him, and the stories he had too tell and people had too tell of him, are just great. He truly is a legend.

Cloughie should have a County named after him - Fukk Nottinghamshire, just call it Cloughshire (Derby could be a suburb).
