DERBY vs. Coventry City

Midweek match at Pride Park and Derby try to get a win and no place better to do it than at home against a team with only one win in the season. Davies will probably be suspended but there will be an appeal and Edworthy may make a return to the lineup after his injury.

what happened with Davies appeal? Most of the time nothing happens and he will get a ban

I know Phil Brown asked the referee to look at the decision, but I doubt he will reverse it. He will say the tackle was from behind and warranted a yellow card.

We need a win against Coventry, we haven't won any of our last 4 games. But Coventry are one of those sides we don't seem to do well against. That needs to change starting tomorrow

Hmmm i duno what to predcit for tomorrows game, im really tempted to go for another draw or a tight derby win, my only concern is that we dont really have the players to kill teams like we did last year, i recall when we beat Brighton 3-0 at pride park, we really did knock the stuffing out of them.
Im hopin for a derby win, but im gonna predict another draw for The Rams

Injury News

Marc Edworthy is back in the squad, good news he was looking good at the start of the season, I think he's our best full back.

Bad News elsewhere in the defence though, Richard Jackson (groin) and Mo Konjic (eye) are both ruled out.

I'll go for a predicted score then, I'll say 2-1 too Derby, hoping Tudgay can get a goal, maybe with a fewgoals under his belt he can become the forward we need. Also hope Tommy Smith scores, always plays well, but doesn't get the number of goals he deserves.

I think that the score will be 1-1 Idiakez for Derby and Claus Jorgensen for Coventry.

i still remember what happened last time u played against Coventry. hoping for a similar debacle.

"John Robertson was a very unattractive young man. If, one day, I was feeling a bit off colour, I would sit next to him. I was bloody Errol Flynn compared to him, but give him a yard of grass and he was an artist. The Picasso of our game"

That was diferent circumstances, away and last ever game at Highfield Road, I dounbt there will be a repeat of that. A Coventry win is not too unlikely though.

I think new loan signings Fadiga and Witingham could be in tonights match squad, I wonder if either would start. I hope we go 4-4-2, put Smith up front and Wittinhgam left midfield.

Final score Derby 1-1 Coventry

Another draw, disapointing we need a win, and should have got one, we were by far the better team, but couldn't score a 2nd goal, we need to go 4-4-2 IMO. Tudgay up front on his own doesn't work, the midfielders look more liely to score.

Morten Bisgaard is now our top scorer this season, with 4 goals.

Fadiga did some great skill to create space for a cross but no1 got on the end of it. Whittingham didn't sign in time to play tonight. Dean Holdsworth made his debut as well.

disappointing result for Derby, I was expecting a win in this match but we can't find a way to score goals and we always concede late, I think tactics is a problem, we often shut down when we go a goal up and let the other team dominate

I feel we need to go more attack minded. Our defence isn't strong enough to keep teams out at the moment....the best form of defence is attack Keep attacking and don't let the other team into the game. Coventry were there for the beating.

On paper we've had an easy start, but not done great.

Our next 6 games are, Southampton (home), Sheff Utd (away) Leeds (away) Leicester (home) Stoke (home) Wolves (away) all are teams currently or expected to be near the top, and apart from Southampton, there all local games with some rivalry involved, so they will be very tough games.

I predicted the result right, but at the moment if you predict a draw you've got a good chance of doing that. These draws need to be turned into wins.

Well my predictions, have virtually been spot on all the way thorugh the season, which im pretty impressed with, a home draw vs coventry isnt realli good enough to b honest, we need to start winning games, and stayin in the stop half of the table, i think the loan signing of peter whittingham from villa, is great news and could prove a key player, in the months that he is here
