Trivia Question

For all the statto's out there.

While looking for the stuff on the club badge I came across something, which I never knew, and all my mates I've asked this question too had no idea either. So lets see if anyone on here does.

Which 2 Derbyshire teams have played in the First Division (premiership)?

One's obviously Derby. As for the other one, Chesterfield maybe?

Derby of course is right. But Chesterfield is wrong. The 2nd division is as high as they have ever got.

it must be a team that doesn't exist anymore or is playing in non-league football?

They still exist, and play non-league football.

They were only in the 1st division for one season, and finished bottom, but there only a small village from North Derbyshire who had a population of 21,000, so just being in the same league as Sheff Utd, Villa Man City Everton and Derby.

It was a long time ago, the 1900 season, i'll not tell you the answer yet though.

Though at the time they were in the 1st division they had changed it too just Glossop, and have since changed back to Glossop North End.

Now playing in the North West Counties league division one.

Yeah, same league as Maine Road FC, a team set up by City fans in 1952, as an extension of the supporters' club.

Anyway, I can recall playing their boys team in the semi-final of the Manchester County Cup. They were shite.
