DERBY V Cardiff

It's English Sheep v Welsh Sheep on saturday

Last year the away team won comfortably in both matches.

Cardiff have not made a good start, and we should be looking for all 3 points from this one.

the team will play Boston United in a friendly tomorrow but it will mostly be the reserve players as many players in the squad are away on international duty.

Cardiff are a really poor side, especially frail at the back. Darren Purse is always good for a laugh tho

They do have Jason Koumas on loan though, who's a quality player for this division, but they don't have much else. Keep him quiet and we should be alright.

Derby played a 2-2 draw with Boston United at Moor Farm. Derby played three at the back. Giles Barnes started in defense along with Pablo Mills, also Seth Johnson played.
Tudgay and Holmes scored the goals for the Rams but they conceded two late goals. Konjic played and 4 academy players played.

Lee Grant, Mitchell Hanson, James Meredith, Danny Young (Mitchell Booth), Mo Konjic, Pablo Mills, Paris Simmons (Karl Ashton), Seth Johnson, Marcus Tudgay, Lee Holmes, Giles Barnes

There trying to get a deal done with Johnson in time for him to be included in the Cardiff game...Mo Konjic could be going to Crewe so the money can be found for the deal.

Starting line up....

Phil Brown has got some decisions to make for this game, start with the easy bit, Keeper and defenders.

Camp

Edworthy - Johnson - Davies - Jackson

Though if Kenna is fit, Brown may want the captain in the side.

The midfield is the tough part, do you go for the 5 in midfield or the 4 bringing Pescisolido back in the side. Does Johnson go straight into the side. Do you drop Bolder or Thirwell, who have both played well so far this season. Or does Johnson play on the left of a midfield four, dropping one of Smith or Bisgaard, or one of them goes to plat behind Rasiak and Peschi misses out. This must be the hardest Derby team to pick for quite a while, I think I'd go...

Smith - Bolder - Idiakez - Johnson

-------------- Bisgaard ------------
-------------- Rasiak ----------

Though I'm not sure about leaving Peschi and Thirwell out, and it's expected there will be another new signing. I'll be interested to see what team comes out on Sunday. I just hope we play with an attacking player through the middle with Rasiak, because we should be looking to get at teams like Cardiff when we're at home.

Kenna is still injured, but Peschisolido is definately back in the match squad.

Jason Koumas is struggling with his groin, he will play some part in the game for Cardiff, but is very very unlikely to be able to play 90 minutes. Excellent news

Prediction - 2-0 win Rasiak to score both, seems as he seems to be in fine goalscoring form.

I'm actually looking forward to a home game for once!!!, my team for saturday would be:

Camp

Edworthy - Johnson - Davies - Jackson/Kenna

Smith - Thirlwell - Idiakez - Bisgarrd

Rasiak - Pesch

Bench
Grant - Bolder - S Johnson - Tudgay - Holmes

-----------------------------------------------------------

My Prediction is gonna be 3-1 rams win, with Rasiak n Smith (2), i think the goals in midweek for Poland might ingnite rasiak's goalscoring form

You can't find anyone to agree on a team for todays game, It's hard work figuring out the best 11. Like they say competition for places is a good thing

I was away so I didn't get much details of the match but I see we won 2-1, good result, Bisgaard and Idiakez with the goals.

2-1 win, should have been 5-0. Cardiff we're very poor, we played very well, put couldn't find the 3rd goal to really kill it off, and they snuck back into the game with a late goal, but we held on, and Tudgay hit the post.

I can't fault the team, they have been superb so far this season, today being the best performance yet, I can't really single anyone out, because everyone had a good game.

I'm very optimistic of our chances this season now....the sky is the limit

Only us and Crewe remain unbeaten in the Championship, and Crewe are 12th, as they have only won 1 game and drew 3.
