Brown has said he is looking to bring in 5 or 6 players, and has a budget of 5 million, which includes wages, so it looks like freebies only again.

An Australian defender is said to becoming to Derby for a trial. His name is Lindsay Wilson, he's currently at PSV, but was loaned out to a dutch 2nd division club last season.

He's said to be a no nonsense defender...sounds like just what we need, hopefully he is good enough to impress.

I've heard a rumour that David Bellion is on his way to the Rams, I think he's still at Man Utd, I t would be a bit of a drop down for him, and I bet his wage demands would be high, so I don't know if there's any truth in this one.

I bet he's more mobile than Mo Konjic, who is slowly looking more and more like Frankensteins monster, and with his injuries, would be as mobile as said monster.

Apparently Wolves are after Rasiak and Idiakez, I've heard 2 million each, and 2 million for both, neither is good enough. Without them 2 we're not too far off relegation material. It would be a disaster if we lost them two, it really would.

They don't need to rob our players to win the title, they should win it anyway.

To be honest I really can't even see us, selling our 2 best players just after appointing a new manager. If we do, then if I was Phil Brown I'd be out of the exit door as well.

3 more trialists currently at Moor Farm.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
It's already been a busy week for the Rams with the signing of Andrew Davies being swiftly followed up by boss Phil Brown taking a look at a number of trial players.

Defender Davies, 20, signed on a year-long loan from Premiership side Middlesbrough on Monday.

And he has been joined in the training field at Moor Farm by Artim Sakiri, Richard Edghill and Lindsay Wilson as Brown looks at his options ahead of the 2005/06 campaign.

Midfielder Sakiri (pictured), 31, has international experience with Macedonia, having skippered his country on a number of occasions. He has also played in England with West Bromwich Albion, but left the Hawthorns at the end of last season.

Oldham-born defender Richard Edghill, 30, came through the ranks at Manchester City where he made over 200 appearances before a loan spell at Birmingham City.

He had brief spells at Wigan Athletic and Sheffield United before moving to Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2003. He made 40 appearances for Ian Holloway's side before his release in the summer of 2005.

The triumvirate is completed by Australian international defender Lindsay Wilson, who has spent the recent years of his career playing in Holland.

The 26-year-old joined Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven from Sydney Olympic, having earlier played for Canberra Cosmos, and has spent the last two seasons out on loan at FC Volendan and latterly Helmond Sports.
----------------------------------------------------------------

We've already got one defender in, but we still need more, dunno about Edgehill, we've got plenty of blokes at the back, the younger Aussie interests me more.

Don't know too much about Sakiri, I've asked in the Baggies forum though.

He's been training with the team the last couple of days, no news on a contract being agreed yet though, it is a case of waiting to see what happens.

The latest too players we've been linked with is Jonnie Jackson of Spurs and Paul Thirwell of Sheff Utd, but as I understand it, both would require a transfer fee to get, and last I knew we were skint.

I here he's just training to keep fit. Good I don't want him.

Jamie Jordan, who has been recommended by Idiakez is on trial, they played together in spain....I say get Idiakez's mate in...so he wont think about leaving

Also Togo international Adekamni Olufade (that name will take some getting used to if we sign him ) he's a speedy right winger or forward....sounds good get him signed on if he knows where the back of the net is.

i agree with you jimbo, it also seems likely that phil brown wants to make a firm stamp on the team, with bringin in quite a few trialiasts into the club, which can only be a good thing in the long run
