It's an acronym. HOLI means HOpelessly Low Iq. It refers to Tony Montana.

Jimmy Carter just became the longest living ex-president in history. 94 years and some change. He still does lots of charity work which includes helping with Habitat for Humanity which builds houses for folks that can't afford one. My kids have helped with this organization and it's a good thing. That being said, they always show pictures of him with a hammer about to drive a nail into some stud. I'm thinking..."umm, do you really want a 94-yr old man driving nails?". Bad idea.......

He's just posing for the photo shoot.

Apparently it was the same with Lenin lifting logs at communal building events. The rumor was he had a special log which was made of plywood and empty inside.

We had Indian takeaway last night. I always have butter chicken with rice. Next time I want to try something different. Any suggestions?

They have beef, lamb and chicken vindaloo, but not pork. I don't like pork anyway.

I'm checking Curry Garden to see if they have a more diverse range of food than Food O'clock.

Interesting. Curry Garden offer butter chicken and Punjabi butter chicken. Authentic Punjabi sauce. Will have to try that sometime.

where in India are they from? should be the first question. better try some regional dish from where they actually are and thus know how to cook properly. apparently they‘re not from Goa so forget the vindaloo and xacuti

szov, they're probably Bangladeshis that are cooking a variety of Indian dishes from all over, which have been westernised accordingly (such as vindaloo with potato in it).

Jeff, if you don't like too much spice, go for something like a rogan josh or a bhuna if you want to take a step away from butter chicken. If you like spice, a madras is sometimes a good option.

Hmmm... so what you're saying essentially is that there's a parallel between becoming woke and staying woke? Yes, I think I see your point. I agree. I will write Queen to tell them that I withdraw my request.

Also, I will reward you with this video. It's an instrumental version of We Are The Champions, performed by a latex-loving, crossdresser.

That's what I'd usually order. There was a nice Indian place in England (near Newcastle) that had a Kashmiri curry (no idea if it's genuine)...it was light, slightly sweet with coconut milk, iirc. I've never been able to find anything like that anywhere else. Butter chicken is like a weak pretender to that but it's nice enough.

An Indian restaurant near my usual hotel in London also has Bangladeshis cooking (it's pretty good). Might explain why there's no pork in Jeff's restaurant. In Singapore, many South Indian restaurants are operated by Muslims. The vegetarian restaurants (great stuff, btw) are mostly operated by Hindus.
