By the way, "Tecolotlan" means "Land of the Owls"

In Nahuatl (language of the Aztecs)

Tecolote = Owl
lan = Place

I don't think I've seen such a text before, they aren't common in Denmark.

Don/Dońa reminded me of Don Giovanni. 🙂

Your Catholic Churches don't have records of the baptisms and marriages somewhere?

Records, yes, with names, dates, etc., but what you posted seems like long-form prose, which I hadn't come across. I have attended Catholic weddings and such, maybe there were these pages and I just didn't notice.

Also there's the sermon, which sometimes 'gets personal', so for instance I had the (Lutheran) pastor email me a transcript after my grandfather's funeral.

In Denmark it's Larsen, Johansen, Hansen, Petersen, Rasmussen, Mortensen... (the double s in Rasmussen never made sense to me btw..)

Though these days people tend to ditch the -sen names when they get married and/or have children, similar to the hipster fads of giving babies weird first names.

seriously though, how scientifically reliable are those tests anyway?

isn't that just like some astrology thing, fake science, like reading spilled coffee leftovers?

either way, what's sure is here I have a 100% jeans from all possible ethnic groups who ever lived in or walked through the Austria-Hungary empire. that be eastslav, southslav, westslav, germanic, celtic, gyppo, middleestern, uralic, dacian, roman, avar, neanderthal, mongolic, türkic, greek, armenian, nordic etc help me out if I missed some

on the other hand, we all come from chimps or even further, from amoebas, which pretty much sums it all up.

Ancestry has to be fairly reliable as they absolutely tagged my 1st and 2nd cousins that also took the test.

Now, as it relates to countries, that is a different story. That is based on statistical averages. So, if a certain country/group doesn't participate much, their data is going to be weak. That is why they say North/Central/South American Native. Not too many native people have participated.

Same thing for me. I was even brought in contact with family members who I knew had to exist, but I didn't have an information on.
