:happy::excited:

now seriously, another very exciting game, the 1st half was quite balanced and very frantic, with both teams playing open and looking to score

if only all derbies could be like that!

sporting started better the 2nd half , and when cardozo was expelled (8 games out of 10 playing against 10 men, i think...) i did fear they would eventually score...but that-s when Jesus stepped in with very accurate subs and with a lot of GARRA we made it :proud:

this team has proved this week, in 2 key, difficult games, they mean business :proud:

best player in the game....well aimar was amazing during the 1st half, pure class, javi garcia was a tiger all game long, witsel... i still can-t believe we actually hired this guy , and artur was simply massive

on sporting's side, rui patricio had a great game, skaars and joão pereira were good too, and that forward whose name i cant pronounce (von ...) . Capel was too much of a bitchy diver

Porto needs to watch out, both Benfica and Sporting are displaying good football and healthy lockerooms

NEXT!!!!!!!!!

Exciting game, congrats on the win.

Maxi Pereira had a superb game, as did several others, but his combativeness and relentless intensity is just a treat to watch.

Was only able to watch the game after Cardozo's sending off. We always seemed in control of the 1 goal advantage.

Concerning the damages done to our stadium, Sporting should pay the bill - as is the custom in these cases - and the perpetrators should be identified and held accountable for their actions. Shouldn't be too hard, should it? What's the purpose of dozens of cameras then, if they're never used for anything?

That seems silly to me. It's not Sporting's fault some of their fans are vandals. Round up the suspects, make positive IDs, convict and ban these vandals from ever entering another stadium.

The sole exception is Porto, where they actively recruit, endorse and support their hooligans and their hooliganism.

Fire getting internet heat. Everything that happened Saturday should be reviewed from the processing of Sporting's ultras into the stadium, the security measures, and how the fans had the ability to start a fire (I would not have the means to pull this off at any major North American sporting stadium). Usually, when nonsense happens in Portugal and no one from the outside notices, it gets handled with no lessons learned. Hopefully the images of a raging fire happening will lead to serious people looking into this.

Benfica should just cut relations with this club until their board changes, they ask for 10,000 tickets, Benfica gives them around 3,000 or 3200 and return 46 then said that Benfica lied about returning the 46 but there's an email to prove otherwise as you can see in the attachment.

We do not need other teams' fans to fill out our stadium, they're the ones that barely put people in theirs.

No point of wasting time with this matter, just cut relations and send them the bill to fix every little thing they broke and that's it until their clown of directors changes.

Abandoning communications is not a realistic option. These clubs thrive on the pro wrestling drama and aren't interested in civil public discourse. Idiots like Felipe love it when their guy cuts a promo on the rival club.

There has to be a level of communications or match day planning cannot exist. Even if you eliminated away fans, you still need to synch up (for everything from the split of match day revenue, arrival of team/club officials, how to handle each club's stadium press commitments, etc).

People/organizations with strained relationships do business all of the time. I'd prefer that they got together and hammered out match day policies that make the match day experience as safe and enjoyable for everyone attending.

«O Sporting vai fazer uma exposição à Liga de Clubes sobre esses incidentes graves na zona dos balneários», especificou. «Temos gravação do sucedido, espero que as câmaras de segurança também tenham. O que posso dizer é que envolve o presidente do Benfica, Luís Filipe Vieira», acrescentou Godinho Lopes.

I'm sure that he went over to the Sporting Locker room and gave him props for the very well lit section and asked if they'd like some marshmallows or a Pig to roast

Seems like everybody was kung-fu fighting this weekend.

Sporting fans trying to burn the stadium to the ground, LFV up to something as usual, Pinto da Costa was bitch slapping some journalists/reporters.

Just a grand old time. God bless our football.

Yes, he pounded his fists on the ground, threw a little hissy fit, and according to the referee report, swore at the referee.
