Europa League: Last 8, Benfica X PSV

The year was 1988, I was a kid growing up in the outskirts of Lisboa at the time, the teacher came in and told us to go home and watch the game, we lost in penalty shootouts.

This can't be called a payback because we lost a Champions cup but would help.

From our side the first thing that comes to my mind is Veloso's penalty shot, he looked nervous going towards the ball and also Pacheco's cleats flying out when he had a chance to create a good play or take a shot on goal.

Nice summary mate.

I wasnt even born when the match was played so its only the stuff ive read and the highlights ive seen. Its good to play a team you have had histry in the past with rather than playing a Spartak or a Twente though. Im really looking foward to the game

Any chance Ronald Koeman will do some commentating for Portuguese TV?

Lex Immers - Pace & power. Holland's #1 box to box player

Feyenoord forum - the place to talk about this phenomenon

To me it's not revenge because nothing can bring back that cup, the game was very well played but we wore new socks for the game and the cleats came out at crucial points, I say that if there was to be a winner in the 120minutes it would have to be us.

Ronald speaks fluent Spanish, that's not good enough to be on Portuguese TV though otherwise no one would care if he did the play by play, keep in mind that he was our coach in 2006

I'm sure we'll have a lot more people there tomorrow than sunday, I also think we'll have more people in the next game against Porto as opposed to the last game.

No better way to come into this world than to watch the almighty Glorioso.

As for players, Pablito Aimar?

Im guessing this is your prediction for your starting 11. Why Cardozo OR Jara. I thought Cardozo was your best attacker?

Also do you guys have any injuries, suspensions etc.? Ola Toivonen is injured for us. Hes our second best attacking player so its a major loss especially as this means no goals Marcus Berg will definitely start now
