LS Round 12, SL Benfica vs Academica

So we're back to the Superliga in the 12th round, a win will tie us with the team of the tournament so far.

Players called up:

Guarda-redes: Quim e Júlio César,
Defesas: Maxi Pereira, Luisão, David Luiz, Miguel Vítor, César Peixoto e Shaffer,
Médios: Ruben Amorim, Ramires, Pablo Aimar, Di María, Fábio Coentrão, Urreta e Felipe Menezes,
Avançados: Saviola, Cardozo, Weldon e Nuno Gomes.

Expect Luisao to sit bench and either Ruben Amorim to do Javi Garcia's job who is out with his 5th yellow.

Hoping for a clean game and a win :smileani:

Why would Luisao be on the bench?

he's coming back from surgery and that's what Jesus said so i take it that he'll come off the bench sometime in the 2nd half to get some minutes under his belt, unless he starts and gets benched in the second half or some shit like that.

Ive just started watching and its 4-0 and the games not over yet.

Pitch is soaking wet

Don't worry.... it only seems kinky the first time.

Another goal-scoring outing by us; Jesus keeps this machine well oiled.

That is if Paraguay's manager understands how important he can be to the team.

Good point, it'll be nonsense if he's not a starter at the WC if he keeps up this form.

Well, they've got 4 good forwards all with a good shout for a starting role.

He's arguably the best in-form out of the 4 and has been playing well in the Europa League. Roque Santa Cruz has barely done much this season for Manchester City; Valdez and Cabanas are the only players I see having a chance to start based on how they have been playing for Paraguay and club.

What horrid conditions. Even the technically most skilled players on the pitch seemed to have problems with the performance of most simple moves as stopping a ball and playing easy passes.
Whatever, we gained another well deserved 3 points. Saviola and Cardozo are pure dynamite.

Outstanding goal by Saviola!

JJ also blamed the pitch for not beating Sporting.
