Taça [Last 32] Benfica vs Vitória de Guimarães

22/11/09 | 19:45 | TVI

Undoubtedly the most important match of the day. Cardozo and Luisão are the key absences for tonight.

Probable Lineup

Moreira
Maxi - Sidnei - D. Luiz - F. Coentrão
Javi Garcia
Ramires - P. Aimar - Di María
Saviola - Keirrison

We really look hopeless upfront when Cardozo doesn't play. We had no force in the box. I really hope this was Keirrisons last chance for a while. He was inept all evening. Weldon came on too late and had some impact, Menezes too had some bright moments when he came on.

Well done Vitoria, especially Nilson who was fantastic all night.

Surprising to say the least, but who cares? It's a Piss Cup, you guys have bigger targets for this season. Same situation for Porto. These Cups are for the Sportings, Bragas, etc. of the world to win.

Unfortunately there are nights like these where everything goes wrong. It is obvious, however, that Keirrison is a joke and is probably the reason why we're out of the cup. Weldon was pure dynamite the minute he came on.

I was going to say, this hasn't upset me too much. I'd rather take the Liga and have a good run in the Europa League. One things for certain, we do need another forward come January.

Because Sporting are so close to the relegation zone? Don't be so hard on yourself.

There you are talking about Sporting on Benfica's forum out of nowhere. I wonder why...

Blame your buddy who came here talking about Christmas, a time of the year usually associated with your club.

I really think Jesus wanted to win this one but oh well.

The part part of the day was when my bother, a diehard lagarto knocked on my door just to tell me that Benfica lost and his Sporting went on

I don't know this gentleman therefore he is not my "buddy" and far as I know, Christmas was, is and probably will always be...red.
