LS Round 9, Braga vs. Benfica

The time has come to take on the team that has had the lead since day one, the two teams that have played the best so far this season.

A win will put us 3 points ahead of Braga and 5 ahead of Porto.
I expect nothing but for Jorge Jesus to try and make a fool out of Domingos, let's hope that it happens as there should be a packed house ready for some good football.

Forca Benfica

Insanely overpriced tickets for Benfica fans made it impossible for me to attend this match. I could get cheaper tickets for a CL final.

I guess the only doubt for the starting lineup tonight is whether Jesus uses Fábio Coentrão once again as a left-back or if César Peixoto returns to the team. Shaffer was also called up but it's a less likely option.

22€, 35€, 40€, 60€ and 65€.

As you may imagine, the cheapest tickets vanished in the first few days. As of this morning, 27000 tickets had already been sold so they're going to make a huge profit out of this game and still fill the stadium.

That is pricey, but when compared to what u might pay for a regular EPL match (Or many sporting events here in the US) it isn't absurd.

Hope the pricing doesnt prevent a sellout.

u cant possibly compare price tickets charged here with those charged in england or the US, because the average salary has no comparison

Which on the other hand speaks for us, especially in terms of popularity.

It's always like this, travelling Benfica fans always pay the most expensive tickets in Portugal. We end up financing this Liga Sagres because, without our contribution, some budgets would have to be cut down by 1/4.

1-0 Braga in the 28th minute right now. Hugo Viana scored a rather weird goal in the 7th minute. Luisao just scored on a free-kick but it was called off for a foul by him on Eduardo.

He didn't disallow it because he whistled before the ball even hit Luisão's head.

Great game so far.

I think Jesus is on drugs. I've never seen him so quiet as tonight.
