Benfica's shirt 08/09

The official presentation of the 2008/2009 shirt will be done at Parque Eduardo VII, at 17H45, and these should be the new shirts for the new season.

As you can see the PT logo has been replaced by the TMN rectangle that, although being uglier, is quite smaller. About the alternative, it's a f'in frog :rollani: (Filipe Reis and Joshua, don't laugh cause the frog will be on your alternatives as well ).

On european nights the sponsor will change to MEO (black square white lettering). Another big change is the 3 stars above our symbol each representing 10 league titles.

I'll post the presentation photos as soon as they are made available.

Why would I laugh? I like frogs and this one could even be mistaken for a lizzard

LOL!!! I knew you guys were going to have the Sapo name, but didn't think you'd use their silly logo. I know we have that damn frog on our training kits, but I haven't seen the new ones released today yet. No good full-size pictures yet. I hope we don't have the silly frog. p

I love those shirts. I'll probably order both. Especially if I can get them sem sapo.

Seriously, best shirts since the centennial throwbacks.

I'm very biased towards using white for the away shirts, but I really love the mix of black on the sides for the home shirts. Too much white stripes in the last couple of editions.

If I was to make a small variation, it would be to see how the whites look with red stripes. But that would be just an eyeball test and not a definite change.

I sometimes can find the shirts without the corporate logo, but it's not a deal breaker for me.

The club website has the unrevealed shirts going for 65.45 EUR. Pretty pricey. As always, we'll be able to get them for much cheaper.

Unfortunately they didn't have them at the Benfica store when I was there. I may make Mrs. Pila make a pit stop before she departs at the end of the week. On the other hand, if I wait, we'll probably see a price drop by mid-season.

Each star represents 10 league titles despite Porto's referee buying.

that shirt is just silly. It would be a cool shirt to wear out as urban fashion, but not see your team playing in it
