January Signings: Sepsi and Makukula

According to the Record Benfica has just signed two very good Romanians, U21 Romanian NT Left Back starter Sepsi and Steua's Dica. Amounts are guessed to be 1.8 and 4mil respectivly.

I've heard something about Dica, not sure if he's that good of a player though, guess we'll find out soon.
Thoughts?

Sepsi is a very versatile player and Dica is a genius on the ball. He is not as quick as Mutu but has excellent vision. I haven't really watched Benfica this season but Dica is an ideal playmaker.

Steaua owner said that he accepts the 4 M offer for Dica, but the player still has to agree with the wage offered by Benfica. Since Dica is wishing to play abroad I don´t think there will be problems there.

Dica is an offensive midfielder/support striker, who has been the main offensive element at Steaua in the last years. Not very fast, but with good vision to make clever passes and an extraordinary sense of goal. This season he has underperformed though, maybe because of the bad period of his team.

About Sepsi he´s a very promising player. He´s versatile and can play both in defence and in midfield. He´s a hard worker and good with the ball.

Nope, not yet.

Steaua's website said the deal was done, but it is not. LFV has already come out and said the deal is not complete but they expect it to be.

Pepsi has already been introduced.

Benfica's official website has denied any interest in Dica so this deal is off. My bet is Steaua were asking more than what was reported in the press.

I guess we ended up with a bottle of Pepsi but no Dica p

Steua is either trying to get more money by bringing Benfica's name into the mix or just asking for more than 1st agreed.
Romanians seem to rate this soft drink guy quite well, I read that he'll be making 20million Euro/month can anyone confirm?

20k a month is probably what he's earning in Romania. I don't believe he'd earn that here if he were to come.

That's what I read in the "24 Horas", I'm talking about the soda man, not Dica.

Record's saying that he was making 3,000 euros per month in Romania, assuming that to be true, he's making a huge chunk of change now, basically went from 36,000 euros per year to 240,000.

I rate Sepsi high. Beyond his football qualities I like his spirit and hard-working style. He seems to have the right mentality.

He was the only player in Romanian league that had played all the minutes this season.

More on Dica. Aston Villa has shown an interest and that is why his transfer did not go through...Aston Villa were interested in him for about a year (on and off)...As soon as they hear Benfica is interested they renewed their interest in him....

I am afraid these English SOB's will not make good on the deal and Dica will get screwed....Too bad, Benfica would have been the best fit for him - Latin style football which suits him better than the Rugby-style of EPL.
