PSL. Pacos - Benfica

1-1 at half, we scored first but they equalized right after.

2-1.

We played terribly, but managed to get the 3 points. Tough for Paços who played a great game.

6 points behind now.

Just out of curiosity, does anybody have any comments on the "foul" that gave origin to the free kick from where you've scored your 2nd goal?

You can call it obstruction, but it was a hard call in my view.

Didn't see the game, out of curiosity though, what did you think about it?

Here's what i got from Record:

84' - Furtado mergulha para dentro da área perante a oposição de Binya. Bruno Paixão assinala livre quase em cima da linha de grande área para o Paços e mostra o CARTÃO AMARELO ao camaronês do Benfica

85' - Ferreira, na marcação do livre, atira por cima da barra.

86' - GOLO DO BENFICA... Léo inventa uma falta no lado esquerdo. Rui Costa marca o livre e Rodríguez, de cabeça, atira para a defesa para a frente de Peçanha... De baliza aberta, KATSOURANIS faz a recarga vitoriosa.

seems like the Pacos player was trying to get a penalty and ended up getting a foul that should not have been and then Leo yanked a foul right after, I didn't see the game but it could have been Leo just falling for no reason or it he could have shielded the ball and gotten fouled on purpose, but let's suppose that it wasn't a clear foul, the ref at the least tried to keep the same measure for both teams.

Hope that answers your question mr. Lizard.

I saw the game and the ref is consistent across the board.

Now Mr. Lagarto, you can worry about Naval because the pressure is on you guys to keep up.

A common mistake by the ref that didn't go unnoticed because it happened to originate a goal.

got very relieved when kats score the 2nd goal ! about time we recover some pts from porto

we have to start improving our performance though, we cant go stumbling like this all season long

I think Leo dived, like it happens so often with him but what matters the most is that I liked what I've seen last night. Binya is fastly becoming my hero.

Just saw the highlights, he dove at contact, still doesn't mean that it wasnt a foul.
I like Binya too, this kid's been awsome and made me forget about Manuel Fernandes.

If he dove, there was no foul.

Binya was one of the cheapest signings and is, at least, a very interesting player. Yesterday wasn't one of his best games, but without Petit, he's a key player in that defensive midfield.

Dove at contact, i saw the highlights and seemed like the typical stuff that happens at the end of the games really.

A dive is a dive, no matter if there is contact or not and certainly no matter if it happens at the start or at the end of a game. Anyway I don't want to make a meal out of it but it's good that we don't judge only what the refs give to the Fruit Company.
