PSL - Game 14 - Benfica vs V. Setúbal

Well, the game came and went and nobody opened a thread.

We beat a very weak side by 3-0. Goals by Nuno Gomes (his 4th in the league), Simão (5th) and Nuno Assis (1st).

For the record: Quim, Nélson, Luisão, Rocha, Léo, Katsouranis (Beto), Karagounis, Nuno Assis (João Coimbra), Simão, Kikin Fonseca (Manu), Nuno Gomes.

Another balloon of oxygen for our coach.

I'm glad Kikin is starting to get some action. It's a good win for us especially after our loss to Man Utd and a draw last week. We'll be lucky to finish second this season.

Simao could've had three easy goals. Nuno Assis was very good, as was Nelson. I thought Karagounis was awful, but that's nothing new.

Nice to see Joao Coimbra get some minutes in.

It's about time they dump those shorts for some skirts or something.
You can clearly tell that it's hampering their movements.

Wow, that's even more good news that means Geovanni will be back in January and that means LFV has already read my Christmas-wishlist and that means Camacho is on his way back as well

Edit: oh and João Tomás ... he was the third name on my list!

geovanni?....nah...dont think so...what we need is a playmaker and if miccoli is to stay away till the end of the season , a striker

funny enough, none of the guys commenting on the game talked about his presence, other than saying: oh theres geovanni lol

pretty starnge innit? we talking about guys who comment on whether the coach is chewing gum or yawning

geovanni....humm, now u got me thinking

A win is a win, and all that - but we've proven we can beat up on bad teams. We need to do it consistently, win a tight one, fix our man-marking and our misplacing on counters.

We need a new coach, keep Simao, keep Rui Costa healthy when he returns and bring in another speedy winger. That should be the extent of our Christmas list.

Freedom is the great liberator of the mind – it threatens only the comfort of the sequacious intellect.
