PSL - Game 9 - Benfica vs Beira-Mar

Back to domestic battles. Our opponent is currently 14th in the league but managed to get a spectacular draw last game against Sporting.
Léo is out due to injury but Karagounis is back.

Since Fernando Santos said he won't make much changes, if any, I'm guessing we'll play like this:

Other players called:

- Moretto
- Anderson
- Alcides
- Beto
- Karagounis
- Karyaka
- Paulo Jorge
- Mantorras
- Kikin Fonseca

Follow the address on the graphics. It let's you do the same for Sporting. It's really practical.

Wow that's cool ... thanks for the hint, Gein
Hope we can make something of our role as a favorite, still have bad memories from our first league game ever in our new stadium, which we lost 1:2 to ... Beira Mar. I was there but even missed the Simao goal then since I didn't get the ticket in time, given our club had demonstrated it's talent in organising and opened one mere ticket-shop that day. Well, however, some members of the team should still be warned not to underestimate Beira Mar.

Good question? I'm pretty sure about it but I'll double check with you fellas; how many times has Miguelito played this season?

For the league? 5 times, 2 of them on the starting XI. 190 minutes total.

Call me arrogant but i just can't see anything other than a win happening.

Anyone knows when will we play the game in hand against Belenenses?

FT. 3-0.
Katsouranis, Petit and a own-goal by Ricardo, all in the second half.

We looked very solid the entire game, with enough patience to break them without compromising ourselves.
A good game and performance. Could have been easier with Léo since Miguelito is still to shy and afraid to go forward.

Highlight of the night: Buba, after scoring an hat-trick against Sporting last weekend, got himself out of the game with a red card and the entire stadium starts chanting his name!

Jardel doesn't even move on the field. Like, at all. He walks the whole 90 minutes.

Very easy game for Benfica, Beira Mar looked terrible but Benfica also played well.

Good to hear..I didn't see the match since I was working, but did see the scoreline. I'm gonna wait to hear what Felipe has to say so I could combine both views

He didn't even play the whole 90 minutes. He came on with 70 or something minutes.
He's still dangerous and decisive, though. We saw that last weekend against Sporting. No matter how fat he his, he still can pull that "how-the-fvck!-he's-alone-in-the-box" move of his. But he needs a team that plays for him, and Beira-Mar is not that kind of team, specially against big teams.

I'm afraid you'll have to skip my unbiased view on your team this time because I didn't watch the game. I prefered enjoying the first home defeat of Real Madrid this season.
