PSL - Game 6 - União Leiria vs Benfica (0-4)

Game already underway, and at half-time we're beating Leiria 2-0 with 2 great goals by Miccoli. The first one is amazing.

Our line-up:

Quim

Nélson - Luisão - Ricardo Rocha - Léo

Katsouranis - Petit - Nuno Assis

Simão - Nuno Gomes - Miccoli

I'm not at the stadium, but from what I see in the TV, it's not a classic 433. Simão is roaming the entire pitch, and at times we look to be back to the diamond midfield.

It's looking good though.

the 1st one is to drool for

we are playing well too, so lets keep it up for the 2nd half

i cracked up BAD when we scored our 2nd goal though as the commentator on sport tv was dissing on our team saying "those runs up the flank" were so useless, since nuno was "alone in the box "bla bla...only seconds later, lonely nuno makes an assist for miccoli to score owned

i think its time to replace nuno and miccoli, rest them both for tuesday and give both mantorras and kikin a chance

ah btw....penalty...simao makes it 4-0 now

It's done. 4-0.

Good victory, great goals, and some minutes of rest to Kats, Nuno Gomes and Simão.

Nélson is still a shadow of himself, though.

BTW, the second half confirmed the 442. Let's see how that holds from now on, but there was some class moments today. The team was always closer together, and almost never lost balance when moving forward or backwards.
It was also the first game that proved that Petit and Katsouranis can play together.
I also liked Ricardo Rocha, who proved is worth and didn't get affected by the critics during the week, Miccoli (of course), and what I said about Rocha is also true to Nuno Gomes. One great goal, another goal assist and many more good moments. Simão was also great.

P.S.: Black shorts?

totally subscribe ur post...including the PS

i know LOL at 1st i thought there was something wrong with my eyes or the tv set

but if it means we are going to play well and composed, score and win....i can even allow yellow stripes and pink balls on the shorts

it was really awesome seeing our lil big italian playing a full game, and what a game he played!!!dear nuno did well throughout the game and scored a screamer!! petit...glad to see him back of coz he goes well with kats.....i never had a doubt about it...they are diffrent players who can compliment eachother perfectly...petit as more of a pure DM, and kats doing the transition to the atttack, the guy has a great quality of pass

nuno assis was active, leo is finally reaching his usual level , and simao is also back absolutetly loved the smile after he was subbed....when he was cleaning his face with the towel?; beautiful looked a like a kid whom had just been given some candy

quim didnt have much work, and was always there when needed, and luisao too. nelson still needs to improve, but he's running and he's trying...miguelito came in well close to the end of the game, and in spite of having few chances to touch the ball, i liked a couple moves from kikin...his composure

beto....no comments:rollani: lol

santos was very well tonight too....congrats for the line up he chose, for the teams mechanization and motivation , and for the subs  very well

now ...its the scotts

I recommend the 1st goal and the entire play. Miccoli -> Katsouranis -> Simão -> Katsouranis -> Miccoli -> Awesome!

Awesome match played by Benfica yesterday, Miccoli was just magic and Nuno Golos scored his 100th league goal for Benfica! In style by the way.
VIVA BENFICA!

PS: Thanks for the link, mate

One game is reminiscent of precisely that - one game.

Best team in the league is the one that sums up the most points once the last match is played. Now if we can keep this up, we'll no doubt win the liga. We have the horses, let's see if the jockey can manage to keep them from running into a wall, or if the masseuse can refrain from crippling our horses - we appear to be our own worse enemy this season.
