I would prefer if we finally built up a team with what we have ... there's no need for 10 new players every summer and 3 more every winter, we have a strong squad and in time passing should figure out the 11 strongest players to form the usual starting line-up.. continuation is a key to success.

Okay ... if I had a Xmas-wish free, José Mourinho would be lovely with a Benfica-pin on his jacket or in a red Adidas-Training-suit .

More than signing players, I hope to see our squad "streamlined". We have 28 players on the main squad and that is really too much. Specially when some of them leave a lot to be desired.

I hope to see Marco Ferreira and Karyaka out for good, and some others loaned out.

Ideally, 22 or 23 players on the main squad, opening space for regular calls from our u19s.

Plus, I hope they sign a new medical staff. From top to bottom. New, competent people with real decision-making power over the players.

If our players keep getting injured week after week then there's no point in signing new people is there?

Very true, our medical staff seems the utmost amateurish that can be at such professional stage, but exactly that would be the probem with a smaller squad depth we would risk to travel to away games with a staring 11 and 2 substitutes, because the rest is in Lazareth.

The incompetence of our medical staff is something we need to solve, not cope with by having huge squads of well paid players.
It's easier, cheaper and all around a better solution.

It is not so that I had ever disagreed with that opinion.

Put me down also as being for signing a whole new medical trainer dept... and maybe get a Hatian witch doctor while they're at it to offset PDC's black witchcraft.

I think that we'll be very tough to beat if we fire on all cylinders, that will require that our squad is 100%.
