[SL-3] Benfica 1 - 0 Nacional

Several changes on our starting XI. Petit, Nuno Gomes and Manu out suspended, Rui Costa and Ricardo Rocha injured.

Karagounis was back and Kikin Fonseca got his first real game.

We improved from our last games, IMO thanks to the return of Simão, the inclusion of more creative midfielders (Kara and Assis) and a striker that's a lot less soft than Nuno Gomes.

Some very good moments, but at times the team got very nervous and Nacional caused a lot more danger then they would normally.

Goal by Luisão, with an assist by Simão.

Let's hope things get back on track from now on. Miccoli also made his return and the guy is really thiner, so I'm guessing he'll be on the starting XI real soon.

Benfica didn't find a club for Karagounis so FS decided to stick with him. Since he showed motivation he's back on the team (Rui Costa injured) and he had a very nice game - though far from perfect.

Katsouranis is a first team player and the fans like him, though i think he's a bit too "soft" at times, he hasn't disappointed so far - except for that own goal anyway

Though we've only scored one, thisgame compared to the Boavista game was night and day. Clearly, the speed in which Benfica played in this game was THE difference. Players ran with purpose, moved to open spaces and were fast on their breaks and releases.

Speed, boys and girls, kills.
