Round 31: Boavista vs Benfica

Time for the Bessa game....never easy...and Boavista is playing well, has a decent team, has a good coach, and is fighting for europe...its a tough game ahead for us, specially taking into account that we are still "experimenting" apparently

nuno is still out, quim was not called ( ax nº2 from the koe-man)

players called:

Goalies: Moretto , Moreira.

Defenders: Luisão, Anderson, Léo, Nelson , Ricardo Rocha.

Midfield: Petit, Karagounis, Manuel Fernandes, Beto, Manduca, Laurent Robert, João Coimbra, Geovanni , Simão.

Forwards: Mantorras, Marcel ,Miccoli.

with nelson suffering from a pubalgy , apparently, i think its better to rest him....he was axed anyways. May he recover and be fit for next season

my line-up:

Code:
                 moreira

ricardo luisão anderson léo

      petit manuel fernandes

              karagounis

manduca simão

              miccoli

game is on at 21.15 GMT, broadcasted by Sport TV....and since i can't see it....i'm counting on ur reports

FORÇA BENFICA!!!!

ps: apparently veiga is having proposals from other clubs....should both him and koe-man leave....oh glorious day

If we had a coach with guts, we would play like this:

Code:
              Moretto
Rocha - Luisão - Andersson - Léo
       Petit - Manuel Fernandes
Karagounis/Geovanni - Miccoli - Simão
                      Marcel
But because that is not the case... :frustrat:

Precisely my 11 Gein.

A note about the tickets, 6, 8 and 10 contos for the public when Benfica is practically out of the 2nd place run. I'd put the same prices for their fans on the next Benfica vs Boavista.

Done. 0-2. Own goal by the butcher Tiago, and the inevitable Mantorras nailing the second close to the end.

Not a good game, the referee should have been harder on the cards, yet we won without much trouble. We could even have scored a couple more.

All the best for Léo. Scared the hell out of me.

Oh, and another perfect display by Moretto. I guess it's clear this guy can perform away from home. Let's hope the supporters cut him some slack at home too.

2 points behing Sporting now.

(Deolinda)

That's what we formed our board for at last, a revolution in modern football, loaning coaches will only be one of various valuable changes yet to come.

Jesualdo Ferreira, Sp. Braga.

It was nothing official, of course, but the result was the same. Sp. Braga got a coach, we paid the wages.

Do we still pay his wages? Would be rather confusing gven they are rivals for the 3rd rank.

No, we don't. I think it happened just for 6 months. We needed to send him away, because it wasn't working, and we got Camacho. So that was the solution. I'm sure there were other things involved, as I remember that Sp.Braga and Benfica had just done a deal for a few players.
