Official Rumours Thread

I thought it might be a good idea creating a rumours thread, so that we dont get confused or hyped up over certain news

now could my fellow FMs plez stick it?

ps: i dont think we had such thread before...if we do...my apologies :

Well then, here are my rumours for this summer.
Benfica will sack Ronald Koeman and hire the great José A. Camacho

Reforcements I would go for: Rossato (Braga), Miguelito (Nacional), Fabio Felicio (Leiria), Rivaldo (Olympiakos) and Meyong (Belenenses)

Therefor Nuno Assis, Karyaka and Marcel will leave the club. Simão and Manuel Fernandes are likely to be off to England as well. One of our keepers will be loaned or sold anywhere.

Agora não, que joga o Benfica! (Deolinda)

i hope we can keep manuel another season...a bit early for him i think, and very early for us...nobody to replace him .....

simao will leave yes i think...and we need to use the transfer money to buy a quality player...and i mean quality, not some robert :rollani:

assis, karyaka will leave, but marcel wont, who will buy him? lol he will be loaned i presume

i hope we can keep miccoli, worth every penny they ask for him

i agree on bringing miguelito ( how he is still in national is a mistery to me )and meyong ( he should have come instead of marcel naturally), and actually i think we should bring manu back and give him a chance

our biggest reinforcement will be no doubt sending koeman away lol
i would like to see inacio coaching us, i been saying this for the past 2 years...hope this time the prez can hear me

camacho is too much of a whinner and cant sub ( although hes a genious next to koeman, of coz)

about rivaldo...i think he was a good transfer for oly no doubt, i didnt expect him to pull it off tbh, but im not sure if he would be an added value to us...what we need is a creative midfielder, not another forward

Rivaldo on my wishlist has rather to do with him being my all-time-fav. player, so I admit a certain bias here.
As for Marcel, thought he was only loaned by us?
Agree totally about Miccoli, he's dynamite

About Inacio, why not give him a shot, but would he be prepared to come to Benfica, he's quite a reputation to lose at the green side of Lisbon, no?

nah nah, marcel was bought i think...3m

i think inacio would come yes, no doubt, and what does he have to lose?

hes proved himself in the smaller clubs like beira-mar or maritimo , and was amazing with sporting...why not?

i think hes good technically and as a team leader, hes humble , ambitious, knows very well the league, and he is a gentleman with the media and the fans, something quite unique for a portuguese coach...im all for him to come coach us, and im sure all it would take was an invitation

I wouldn't mind him coaching Benfica, he surely has his qualities. However, first and foremost Koeman should leave after this season. Well and then we'll have to hope for our board to draw the right decision.

Thanks I would've liked to have Petit, Nuno Gomes or Manu Fernandes in as well but it would be too huge then so I had to chose four.

OMG! You people are considering Inacio for coach?

And for Miguelito, he's not exactly cheap. He costed 1.5M€ to Nacional so I'm guessing they'll sell it for at least 2 ou 3.

Worth it? Perhaps, but maybe we can get someone else for less money. Take a look at Leo, for example. Much cheaper and much better.

He was loaned by Academica,if Benfica wants him, they have to pay 3.5 millions euros to Academica in the end of the season....

We got him on a loan, but I'm sure it's a weird deal. I remember Académicas president saying that if Benfica didn't buy Marcel in the end of the season, it would be the most expensive loan ever in Portugal. So, my guess is that buying Marcel will be but a formality.
