Round 25: Estrela da Amadora vs SL Benfica

We have tomorrow another key game, as they all are at this stage...

Estrela needs points desperatly, and they sure have a young and motivated squad, so we can't fool around

good news are that both miccoli and geovanni are back, bad news are that koe-man is apparently experimenting with manduca as n 10
( again?) and has assumed that mantorras is out of his plans...how marcel is called ahead of pedro ( or even marco ferreira, who is totally useless) , is beyond me, oh well

these are the players called for tomorrow:

Goalies: Moretto , Quim

Defenders: Anderson, Luisão, Léo, Alcides, Nélson , Ricardo Rocha

Midfield: Petit, Karagounis, Manuel Fernandes, Beto, Manduca, Marco Ferreira , Robert

Forwards: Marcel, Nuno Gomes, Geovanni , Miccoli

personally i would leave both miccoli and geovanni out of the starting line-up for tomorrow, becoz i dunno how well have they recovered, and we need them both for the CL game with liverpool, so i would rather make them come in sometime in the 2nd half

my team:

Code:
                       Quim

      nelson luisão anderson leo

           petit manuel fernandes

      manduca karagounis robert

                 nuno gomes
the game takes place at 21.30 GMT, and will be broadcasted by sport tv

FORÇA BENFICA! :fero:

Simão is out for this game (5th YC).

My bet:

Code:
                       Moretto
         Alcides - Luisão - Andersson - Léo
                        Petit
               Karagounis - Manuel Fernandes
Marco Ferreira - Nuno Gomes - Robert

Take the same  Força Benfica :fero: hope we grab those 3 points, why does this club always bring itself into those make-or-break-situations?

Agora não, que joga o Benfica! (Deolinda)

Maybe we should just put Moretto in our line-ups, because it seems every week we put Quim in ours and Koeman always goes with Moretto. I'm pretty sure he looks are Xtratime Anyway, I got Nuno Gomes stuff ready for him.

Could be worth a try Yet I think Koeman (as we all know he tends to be a bit cocky ) would react like: "Wow, at last they come to reason"
Trapattoni always respected our opinions and more or less appointed our line-ups and he ended up Champion, Koeman should start acting the same before it's too late... We know this club for longer than him and so know best what's the better for it.

 give him the double dose, he looked a bit shaky last term.

and so we are losing 1-0 at HF, with a blunder ( another) from moretto.....

robert, karagounis and geovanni ( and moretto) are playing utter crap...

nothing i didnt expect from moretto, nor from gevanni (as he obviously has no rythm after 1 month away)....but karagounis can not play like this if he expects to start for us, nor does robert

leo is playing great, and so are petit and manuel fernandes

alcides needs to move up at least once in a while, he is sleeping on defense

we need to get manduca in for robert, and nelson for geovanni NOW , in order to get some speed in the game ...and if his attitude doesnt change fast, we need to get miccoli in for karagounis

thankfully koe-man read xt and made manduca and miccoli come in

i still think robert should have left right after scoring, he did score, but he was too poor all game long

manduca came in very well ( he should have started naturally) and im very happy to see miccoli back, he played great, and scored the 2nd goal, fabrizio
very reassuring seeing him back

manuel fernandes was imo our best player tonight, what a performance

BENFICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

ps: the ref was too bad to be real btw....he should have expelled an Amadora player around the 3min, and those offsides...pathetic

Great to see us win. I caught the dying moments of the game and it looked as if we would draw, but fortunately we kept going at it. Next in line, Liverpool

This ref was a joke, Paulo Machado should have been sent off no matter what time it was in the game. Also Nuno Gomes should have been given a yellow not just Estrela Amadora player. Both players were fighting.
