Taça de Portugal, 2nd round: Tourizense – Benfica

Kick off is tomorrow at 2.30 pm local time

And again there's room for speculation whom Koeman will chose as starters...

Here's my wishlist:

GK: Moretto

RB: Joao Pereira
DC: Alcides
DC: Ricardo Rocha
LB: Dos Santos

DM: Beto

RW: Marco Ferreira
MC: Karagounis
LW: Robert

FC: Nuno Assis
SC: Manduca (Borgetti, if signed by then )

Força Benfica

Agora não, que joga o Benfica! (Deolinda)

Ha, very true, though I did so to symbolize I consider Beto only an alternative to Manuel Fernandes who should be a starter at any day. But well, Koeman and me will never agree upon some personal decisions ... same with Quim whom I actually suppose to start tomorrow

Benfica would fill stadiums at 3 o clock in the night. How huge is their stadium anyway or is the match played elsewhere?

the game will take place in some other stadium (makes sense if they wanna get some extra money) but i dunno which....

i know its some other stadium becoz i read their coach complaining about it : rollani:

u know, the usual whinning....they get the lotery by playing us and making a good profit instead of being eliminated by some 3rd rank team, and still complain about it

I can't believe your arrogance! Do you really think that the first thing these teams think when they get the "Mighty" SLB is how much money they will get from playing with you? Doesn't it cross your mind that for a tiny little team like this and for the people from this village the fact of being able to see the team from their village playing one of the big 3 is already in itself a huge thing?

what arrogance?

its reality same when they play sporting, and to some extent porto...although, benfica , as u know, is the team who usually drags more fans into away games

these lil teams earn more money in a game with us (or u) than they do all season long , to say the least....so basically, our fans are paying their wages, and they still complain about playing in a bigger stadium lol

of coz that for the local fans and for the players, what's top on their mind is the unique opportunity to play against a big shark, but i was commenting on the whinning that most coaches from these teams always make about playing in a diffrent stadium, even if that benefits them financially...and in the current state of our football, its no small thing....

doesnt even have to be a big shark actually...a couple months ago, when boavista came to oeiras, to play for the cup, i was really sorry i couldnt come to the game, but couldnt help feeling proud to hear that they gave them "xadrezes" quite a beating

2:0 to Benfica ... winter signing Robert proved he can be decisive right in his second match. Nuno Gomes completed the score.
Viva Benfica!

i heard the game on the radio, and the reporters were quite impressed with robert, apparently he was very active, dangerous and he even participated in defensive actions!
