Manduca negociado

RICARDO LEMOS/RUI FERREIRA

Looks like Manduca is our newest signing. He covers up Simão's position, which hopefully doesn't mean, there's pkans for the later mentioned made yet to leave the club. Manduca seems a good back-up however, given this seems to be a season of injuries for Simão so far.
Manduca played 15 times for Maritimo this year scoring 4 SuperLiga-goals.

pretty decent transfer, he is ok and in current form, in our league, so not a risky acquisition. looks like a good backup for simao...at least for the rest of the season, since simao will leave after the wc, almost for sure

Fair enough, he's done so much in those past 5 years for Benfica and is most obviously talented enough to make his mark anywhere in the world. Just want him to stay for this season at least.

Hello, Hearts fan here (surprise surprise) hehe. What sort of player is Aguiar? What will he bring to us? Hopefully he'll help us to win the league!

Thanks

bruno is not the most skillful of players, but he has qualities, of which imo the best would be his working rate , he gives it all on the pitch and he is physically strong, but he does need to improve his passing/crossing....

well, he's been saying to the portuguese press that he hopes to become champion with u, so he looks motivated

i'm sure he will take the chance to prove himself worth it of 1st team play at benfica, so he will be eating the grass for u

Well I hope he does well regardless! He becomes the third ex-Benfica player in our squad along with Jankauskas and Fyssas!

Now all we need to do is claw back another 5 points from Celtic and we'll be back where we belong

Think we have him, though Sky aren't always correct.

Could you compare him to another midfielder so I can get an idea of what sort of player he is? He's a bit of a strange signing as we are weak on the right side of midfield - Could he play there?

Thanks, good luck to Benfica too, I don't like Sporting because they play in Green, hehe.

well yes, we played him both on the right side as well as on the middle (DM)...tbh, i think we even played him once on the left side as well

personally i like him better on the middle.

last year he played quite a few games, even some as starter, but this season he hasnt played a single minute yet, so u should expect him to take maybe a couple games to get in shape..

humm....i've read on two portuguese papers he is on a loan until the rest of the season

Bruno broke his foot and that's why he hasn't played yet. He only recently started training with the first team.
I disagree slightly (sp?) with Inacio regarding Aguiar. I find him technicaly evolved, more so than any of our DMs, but he lacks a bit in the work department.
I've seen him play in every midfield position, and in 2003/2004, before he came back to Benfica, he made a lot of games has OM in Alverca.

I don't think he's a top player, but i like him. If he really goes to Hearts, let us know how it goes... ok?

BTW, how is Fyssas?

Will do!

Takis started very well, then faded slightly after being injured, but was very good today. One of the best left backs I've seen for Hearts.

Benfica and FC Porto are fighing for goalkeeper of Setubal - Marcelo Moretto.
Looks like Benfica won't sign Dudek

hold on......on bruno aguiar....he may not go to hearts after all, according to Record

apparently , the deal is not done yet, and maritimo is said to have been promised bruno as part of the manduca deal ...

and its a fact that benfica has not yet confirmed the loan of bruno to hearts...it was bruno who spoke to the british press as being a done deal...hummm

I must say he was pretty impressive when SLB played in Setubal. But I dunno if we need to sign any goalkeeper at all, we've got Quim and Moreira, well and Nereu looks quite promising.

What are you laughing at? Have you ever even been to a Celtic game in your life?

There is very very little between us and Celtic. We have both lost only 2 games this season and we've had our sticky patch. Win on the 1st and we will be 1 point away from the top of the league. Its wide open.
