I agree. The bad start does not give them the luxury of sitting folks ahead of the ManU game. Thanks for the heads up on the date. I was assuming this was a weekend game.

Very true, SuperLiga comes first IMO.

You're welcome. Yet I still don't know where it will be broadcasted. As if it made a difference for me, the only portuguese TV-channel I can see is SIC (though I remember them to have shown some UEFA-cup-games long time ago)

You can always try Bandsport, the brazilian tv channel with internet broadcast. They usually show the portuguese league top games.

the game will be shown on sport tv, as it looks like pretty much all benfica games will be this year :rollani:

works perfectly ... thanks again.
We have a 2:0 lead at halftime and it seems our team is finally back on track in the league. First goal was scored by an youth-injection-inspired Nuno Gomes and another irresisteble Simão setpiece made it 2:0.
Força Benfica! Força Nuno! Força Simão!

i really missed having these calm games lets hope we can keep up during the 2nd half!!!!

we let penafiel put some pressure on us in the last 15m, but thats normal, considering we are winning 0-2 since the early mins of the game

now, we need to get back to the game in charge again!

NUNO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

damn, he saved our ass tonight

things were looking really bad!!!!

im ok with putting in beto for geovanii, and im ok with replacing miccoli BUT for joao pereira?!?!? koeman :fero:

he should have laucnhed mantorras in, totally stupid move.....

we clearly stopped pressuring upfront and penafiels goal came as something perfectly natural....and whats koemans reaction???? sub leo for ricardo rocha lololl

really, if nuno hadnt immediatly scored the 3-1, we would have lost pts tonight...koeman gonna be a headache all year long me thinks :rollani:

anyways, the team was ok tonight, miccoli didnt have a good game but he tried, petit is still under performing, manuel is finally starting to recover his form!
nelson was great as usual, nuno was our winner and i think simao has his best game this season
the CB's were very solid, i would start anderson ahead of ricardo rocha again, and moreira had a very good night too, he didnt have to defend many times, but eveytime he had to...were always tough balls

lets keep it up boys!!!!!!!

Força Nelson He's outstanding so far. What a great buy. I think of getting his shirt (a privilege only Mantorras got so far, ususally I take my Benfica shirts without name and number )

I though so as well, when Ferreira scored this header. I don't know why those small teams are so efficient. First acceptable cross and goal. However the team came out with the right reaction and thanks to Nuno thing are looking way better now then they did about 2 weeks ago.

In many ways, that's just as well. I haven't heard or read anything to believe that Pedro will ever be above his prior physical problems. If he can remain healthy by spacing out his playing time, that is fine by me.

Yap ... true. It's kinda funny. There was this long haired defender of Penafiel, Weligton, he was quite popular with those guys. Well, and the charming brazilian dialect commits it's fair share to make it a football-experience all round
