Due to the violent incidents that happened in the last few weeks in the Uruguayan league, football is suspended in the country until further notice which means that the big derby between Peńarol and Nacional is not counting for this matchday thus we will have only 12 games.

I wanted to suggest this probably sometime back but I have no idea where to post it so here it goes: Due to several unexpected circumstances some of the games have been canceled and instead of predicting 13 games we end up predicting 12 or 11. What I am suggesting here is to keep another prediction as back up in case one of the games got canceled. For example this week the game in Uruguay, so instead of just dropping the number of fixtures we can use a back up (any league would suffice) and maintain the same number of predictions every week. This is going to help in the overall standing as I see it, but if you feel it is not necessary then again you are the boss p.

I think it's a pretty good idea
Why do we always predict 13 games ?
Is there some history behind it ?

The problem of adding a last minute replacement match is very simple. I usually pick the games around one week before they happen so the possibilities that they are not going to be played are very slim. Still there are hurricanes, football riots, strikes or any kind of other unexpected events that may force the postponement of those matches, and there is nothing that we can do about it.

If, for example, I would have a replacing fixture for this matchday, how could I deal with all those people that already sent their predictions to the Uruguay match? It could be a good idea if we had a different kind of prediction tool but with the current one I am afraid that's not practical at all.

Most of the football based predicting games that I know have 13 games and the more games we have on a matchday the more chances we have of adding leagues from all over the world and not just Europe, as it used to happen before.

Didn't know that the prediction tool was that limited to a point where you can not add a separate game in case one of the fixtures got canceled. It seems like you have thought of everything if I can come up with another idea to bug you, I will PM you next time.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion and I think that actually it's better that you make them here on the forum because like that the others can also give their opinions.

This PL is run by me but it belongs to all of those that predict on it so the more ideas to improve it the better.

It is getting really competitive, alot of predictors have got 6's and above besides the ones who didn't predict at all.

Filipe I have one question for you, I remember there was a bonus point last season if someone made 10 correct predictions is this still applied to this years version?
