Serie B Matchday 6: Torino-Padova

Tomorrow we take on Padova at home in the first midweek match of the season. This'll be tricky as even though we are playing a newly promoted side at home Padova have been good so far this season and in fact they have not lost yet.

Things will also be a bit more complicated as Loria and Pratali are both out meaning we will put Zoboli and Ogbonna in the center of defense. They looked decent against Salernitana after Zoboli came on the the 48th, so hopefully they can gel and keep Padova out. It looks like we will have Rivalta on the right and Rubin on the left flanking them. Up front there seems to be little reason to change the trident. (Does León come back this game or next for his ban?) The midfield is always the question. I imagine Diana will keep his place but beyond that it is anyone's guess as we started him, Vailatti and Coppola last game but Cola also brought on Zanetti for Vailatti halfway through. My guess for the lineup?

Bianchi - Di Michele

Gasbarroni

Zanetti - Coppola - Diana

Rubin - Ogbonna - Zoboli - Rivalta

Sereni

But as always...FORZA TORO!

Oh I thought I didn't realize it was eight matchdays, I thought 8 days=2 actual matches. Kinda dumb in retrospect, but that seems really harsh. Oops!

So Leon's suspension is over, after all? I agree that was a really unclear ruling -- must actually have been eight days.

Just got home from class...0-0 at the half, anyone seen part of the game? No surprises in the lineup except for Vantaggiato's start - unless Bianchi is slightly injured (but he's on the bench) the only explanation I can think of is giving him some rest, as with his form it's very surprising he didn't start.

0-1 down and we are playing HORRIBLY. Way too many errors and Di Michele just gets a second yellow for a dive.

I saw some of the first half before I had to go out -- neither team looked settled and the match never got into any sort of rhythm, at least not while I was watching. Toro had a couple chances, and so did Padova. Sounds like if anything, it went south after half.
