Serie B Matchday 4: Torino-AlbinoLeffe

We have a great opportunity to bounce back from the Brescia loss when we face another Lombardian team in the form of AlbinoLeffe. This is a game we definitely need to win and should be winning. Belingheri is going to be suspended after his red card against Brescia which is honestly OK since he hasn't been that impressive so far this season. I imagine this will give Coppola his Toro debut. Ogbonna will also be back from azzurrini duty and could slot into left back instead of Rubin. Don't foresee many other changes.

Di Michele - Bianchi

Gasbarroni

Loviso - Coppola - Zanetti

Ogbonna - Pratali - Loria - Rivalta

Sereni

I would hope to see Rivalta perhaps at right or center-back instead of one of the players that currently occupy those positions but I'm not sure that will happen.

FORZA TORO!!!!

FORZA VECCHIO CUORE GRANATA!

I meant start for Coppola...

Without Colombo this means Rivalta will be at right back. As for Bottone, I'm not sure. I've never been hugely impressed by him and I think Zanetti has been performing fine. I'd like to see him maybe come off the bench but Zanetti-Coppola-Loviso should play from the start.

Ogbonna actually wasn't called up for the Azzurrini qualifiers against Wales and Luxembourg. I assumed it was because his suspension was keeping him from playing regularly, but it's impossible to know for sure. (Casiraghi played a CB at left back in the first match which didn't go well, but Brivio looked alright there in the second. Hopefully Ogbonna will get another shot at it next month ... )

1-1 at half. If AlbinoLeffe could finish they really ought to have a couple more -- they've been in alone, more or less, a couple times.

Well, right before half, Toro gave the ball away (I think Bianchi fell down trying to get a call), AlbinoLeffe played it long, and the one guy they had up won it against two Toro defenders, held it up, and played a backheel to a guy totally alone at the top of the box. His first touch was terrible so he ended up reaching for the shot and didn't really challenge Sereni; something similar happened about 20 minutes earlier, albeit without the backheel.

I had to run out and got back just in time to see the end of the replays for Bianchi's goal so I don't know how this half is going, but the first seemed erratic to me -- it took Toro a while settle down, and AlbinoLeffe were running things for a while.

Second half is much better -- AlbinoLeffe's chances have been really limited (at least from what I've seen), Toro look more comfortable now. Famous last words, I realize ...

Game, 2-1. The end was super ragged, but they did enough to keep AlbinoLeffe out.
