Seriously, what is wrong with this club's management? I honestly thought new ownership after 2005 would turn a new leaf in our history of inept management. Now we have the owners not keeping their promises, and such a simple one, to our star goalkeeper, the man without whom we would have certainly been relegated last season. That and the reason we are not making any progress in our mercato on getting Bianchi or Pozzi is "they are waiting to hear back from the club". I know Cairo has his own business interests and eveything to look out for as well, but if he's not going to put the proper time into the club then he should hand over the club to someone who does.

Agreed. I have been very disheartened by the asleep-at-the-wheel mentality this club has right now -- pointing my finger at everyone above DiBiasi. The financial situation is not new. Only Cairo's whining is new. I don't think anyone is demanding that Drogba, Ibra or C. Renaldo be signed. But their are quality players we could have had that we've missed -- or may still miss.

Alienating Rosina and now Sereni is simply amateur. Maybe Cairo over-estimates his love affair (a relationship of convenience) with the Toro fans, but he's in for a rude awakening if he doesn't get busy soon.

Sereni gives fans the finger
Monday 20 October, 2008
Torino are in crisis and goalkeeper Matteo Sereni is in trouble for making an obscene gesture to the Granata fans.

It has been a dismal start to the season for Toro, who have amassed just five points from seven games.

Yesterday's defeat against lowly Cagliari was a huge blow for the expectant fans and the frustration is palpable.

Toro No 1 Sereni, who was one of the stars of last term, made a couple of mistakes and was whistled by the home fans for much of the game.

In the dying minutes of the game, Sereni turned to the supporters and raised his middle finger in a moment of rage.

Sereni now faces disciplinary action and can expect a heavy fine, while his position at the club has been jeopardised.

Coach Gianni De Biasi also won't be sleeping easily with the Press lining up Giancarlo Camolese and Walter Novellino as possible replacements.

I'd be pissed too, but that is a completely unacceptable gesture to make to your own fans. A fine and some sort of disciplinary action are definitely in order from the club, but we have to tread carefully - Calderoni is not suitable for an extended series of games, IMO. All in all I think this situation just shows what a mess our club is in right now.

what make me more depressed is acquafresca.
after the match he said he should got more respect from toro fans, as some fans booed him. he also said that he didn't even jump after goal. but after goal he ran and took off his shirt, that's what i saw in the video clip.
vs toro, 2 matches, 3 goals ,1 assist,6 points

And we didn't get Acquafresca back because...? I don't really care at this point about what he did or didn't do after his goal. Keep in mind this was a late goal in the final minutes of a relegation battle - its natural he would be exuberant. However, he shouldn't expect any love from the fans.

Apparently some fans are hassling Sereni.

http://www.channel4.com/sport/footba...ia/feb12f.html

What's this all about? I wasn't under the impression that he was the source of the team's disarray?

What's the "problem" in the dressing room? Hopefully the players with heart beating %$#% out of those simply cashing checks???

I honestly think the problems are starting to get ironed out. Yes, we are still two points from safety and haven't won since December, but drawing away to Inter and Lazio are respectable results. We need to start winning, but the team is playing with a character that indicates we can survive the drop. If there are problems in the dressing room, I would think it might be issues with some of our higher-paid players (read: Bianchi and Rosina) not performing up to standards. Even they have been doing better as of late. I think the problem is/was not as much about discord in the dressing room as it is about a general lack of morale. I think Cairo's somewhat dismissive attitude towards the players is a factor in this, but like I said, I think things are getting better.

Sereni has been a source of controversy in the past, especially earlier in the season, but he is starting to show now as he did last season that he can be crucial in our plans.
