Serie A Matchday 35: Roma-Torino

We won this fixture last season thanks to Roberto Muzzi. Let's repeat the feat! Roma are all but done for in the scudetto race and are without Totti so this could be a good opportunity to pounce. However, they have the rest of their first team fit and free of discipline trouble so we will have to watch out.

Luckily Sereni will be back and Fontana is at least healthy enough to be on the bench, because last week we were almost looking at having the 4th choice youngster Ferrauto on the bench. Franceschini, Natali, Comotto, Zanetti, and Gomis are all injured though and Corini and Bottone will be suspended due to yellow card accumulation.

The Gazzetta lineup as of today:

Stellone
Lazetic-Barone-Rosina-Grella-Diana
Pisano-Dellafiore-Di Loreto-Motta
Sereni

Bench: Fontana, Rubin, Asamoah, Bjelanovic, Di Michele, Ventola, Recoba

Certainly alot of attacking options, though that is probably more due to the fact that Corini, Zanetti, and Bottone are all unavailable. Still, that means the potential introduction of Asamoah, which could be exciting! I do like this lineup though, I think playing Rosina in the middle but giving him a little more room to do what he wants than the rest of the midfield would be great as we have good ballwinning cover in Barone, Grella, and even Diana. Just as long as we can get players forward when we need to, we can pull this off.

FORZA TORO!:notlist:

FORZA VECCHIO CUORE GRANATA!

1-4 is the final. Shocking refereeing when he gave a penalty for a foul that clearly wasn't in the box. Regardless, bad stuff. Granted, its away to Roma, but we looked totally listless out there, a far cry from last weekend. Still, we have a winnable game against Napoli at home neext weekend and a crucial game away to Livorno afterwards. We are still not in the relegation places, though our cushion is just a point.

“Dellafiore was booked in the first half for that penalty on Perrotta, then had another yellow card for hauling down Cicinho, but the referee did not show the red. ”
