Agreed, though there are definitely easier away trips.

Serie A Week 21 - 3/2/08 (14.00 UK)
Reggina - Torino

Stadio Granillo

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There’s a relegation six-pointer in prospect as a struggling Torino side visit the Stadio Granillo to take on tenacious minnows Reggina.

Reggina fans begin every season expecting a bitter struggle for survival and this term doesn’t look likely to disappoint. While the Calabrians are always amongst the first to be written off by critics, they are nothing if not gutsy and showed their trademark fighting spirit with an unlikely late rally to secure a 2-2 draw against Atalanta last weekend in a game that looked lost.

Having beaten Cagliari 2-0 the week before, the Amaranto are still perched just over the drop zone but know that a defeat here would see them tumble back into the mire. Veteran boss Renzo Ulivieri seems to have found a new gear since his arrival, but there’s still more work to be done if he is to deliver salvation and wins like this could be priceless.

Despite the assurances of President Urbano Cairo, Torino Coach Walter Novellino must be feeling the pressure. This season may have been pencilled in for consolidation, but there were even suggestions in pre-season that the Granata should be challenging for a UEFA Cup spot. We’re half way through the campaign and Europe looks like a pipe dream – survival is the new objective.

Last weekend’s dismal 0-0 draw with Lazio highlighted the major problem for Novellino – a lack of firepower. Toro have scored a meagre 17 goals all term and their failure to add a proven marksman in January, such as Rolando Bianchi, could prove costly. The other problem that must be addressed is poor form on the road. Novellino’s men are yet to win on their travels and this would be the perfect time to end that hoodoo and turn the heat down.

Reggina are still feeling the absence of star striker Nicola Amoruso through injury. Uruguayan hitman Christian Stuani is set to start on the bench with Fabio Ceravolo playing as a lone striker. Key stopper Carlos Valdez is missing due to a one-match ban and Angelo Garcia is still waiting for his debut.

The visitors also have attacking problems as they travel south. Alvaro Recoba and Nicola Ventola are sidelined, leaving ex-Reggina pair David Di Michele and Roberto Stellone as the first-choice strike partnership. Defensive starlet Matteo Rubin has a long-term injury while midfielders Simone Barone and Paolo Zanetti are suspended along with defender Paolo Dellafiore.

Keep an eye on: Luca Vigiani (Reggina) – In a side starved of strikers, the steady midfielder has become the Amaranto’s main goal threat.

Last season: Reggina 1-1 Torino

Form guide: Reggina (L W D W D) Torino (D D L L D)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reggina (probable): Campagnolo; Lanzaro, Cirillo, Aronica; Vigiani, Barreto, Tognozzi, Modesto; Cozza, Brienza, Ceravolo

Torino (probable): Sereni; Comotto, Di Loreto, Natali, Lanna; Lazetic, Corini, Grella, Rosina; Stellone, Di Michele

My heart = INTER...No Matter Win or Lose...

Zanetti : I still remember my first day at Inter. I arrived with a plastic bag with my boots inside and I crossed the crowd of fans who were asking who I was. That's where it all started.....

Stellone is a name I would like to see remain on the team sheet for now. He has been playing well, had a good goal yesterday and also nearly had a brilliant goal against Lazio were it not for a spectacular save from Ballotta.

right,
if he made it,it would be "bravissimo"!
