Azeri clubs in Eurocups 2011-12

Well, it seems like all four Eurocup participants are now determined.

Neftchi - Champions League
Khazar, Azal, Garabagh - Europa League

Update: Inter is out, Azal is in

I agree with Gagulik, I don't expect anything from Halloween pumpkins bunch. This club is good for domestic games not international matches.

Neftchi - dark horse. In summer, it will be interesting to see, which players will be joining the oilers for boost.

Karabakh - should advance to play-off level, then hopefully we'll get easier opponent.

About Inter or AZAL, well if XL wins cup - AZAL gets good chance to go to eurocups. I think AZAL is more stable club than Inter Baku, however they can maximum pass 1-2 rounds not more.

Overall, if we get more wins even not qualification, I will be pleased. But all my focus and hopes based on Neftchi. This team can do it!

COME ON, OILERS!!

Just watching Karabakh - Khazar/ interesting game, even though referee is prick and gives anti-Karabakh decisions. However, I like what I see from both clubs. Karabakh got excellent defense work and switches to counter-attack. Adamia is just great, he can play as sole striker and also decent in partnership with Rauf. Rashad Sadygov and Sadiqov also doing great job by boosting firepower. And finally, Afran Ismayilov - club's main mastermind)) Club's weakest point is Namik Yusifov - who looks inexperienced and out of sync. Karabakh just needs good strikers as Adamia and Rauf's efforts not enough. Rauf Aliyev is on and off, in some games. Plus, playmaker must be purchased as I see bit weak engagement to wings.

However, kudos to Khazar - their forwards is terrific. Especially Julius Wobay - classy player. Very skillful player and can cause a lot of problems for any club. Emeke Opara and Winston Parks also dangerous bunch. If Khazar upgrades their defence, which is their weakest point - this team can achieve some good results.

Referee is truly imbecile as this guy is very anti-Karabakh but well done to Karabakh players by scoring nice goal. Funny thing is both XL and Karabakh goals are very similar.

Azal... i don't know man... I didn't see them much so I don't what they are capable of. But at least, they deserve to give it a try. I really have great amount of respect for Nazim so I'm cheering personally for him.

AZAL is not bad except they got problems with strikers. Overall, they are very stable club.

AZAL plays like a Russian club, not the most exciting team but very physical, athletic , and organized.

PFC NEFTCHI BAKU

Azerkid, perfect comparison!!!AZAL got most balanced score ranks, even their defenders are very good for scoring goal.

OK, today all CL clubs are known so let's see who Neftchi can get.

Full list here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011%E2...ampions_League

If we check rating then most dangerous side in 1st round could be BATE, I don't know how good they are but I think Neftchi can handle them. There is also likes of Maccabi Haifa, Rosenborg, Partizan, Sturm Graz, Wisla Krakow and Dinamo Zagreb, who plays more physical football. These are clubs I don't hope we get, even though Karabakh handled Rosenborg and Wisla with no problem, they may boost their squad.

However, there is also good easy sides like Shamrock Rovers, Ekranas, HJK Helsinki who we can batter. I think if avoid Maccabi, Sturm and Dinamo-Partizan, we could go to next round.

My bet Neftchi will get Maribor))

AZAL and Karabakh's potential opponents are also here. Karabakh should breeze through - all of this clubs are easy meat except Montenegro's Zeta. Good news about Karabakh is that, if they win, they will be again seeded for 2nd round.

AZAL not sure, we'll see what they are capable of.

Tomorrow is draw for 1st&2nd QR in CL & EL. To early to talk about what we want to see this season but most of it will depend on who we drew. My 2 cents on what will can consider to be the good/lucky draw

Shamrock Rovers, Zestafoni, HJK Helsinki & Ekranas will be good draw for "Netchi";

Macedonia, Iceland, Georgia, Hungary & Malta good fit for "AZAL"/"Olimpik";

"Garabag" should have no problems in the first round ;

We can talk about "Khazar" later.

I'm done with our NT, they drive me crazy!
As long as they not beat somebody I know and score at least twice, I'm not interested.
Please let me know when that happens
