Azeri clubs in Eurocups 2010-11

I don't think this year, our teams can go far. Especially in Europe league, play off round looks just very very tough...In fact in 3rd qualifier, we may see solid teams like Liverpool, Juve, CSKA Moscow and in play off, mighty clubs like Manchester City, Aston Villa and Porto..

CL looks also tough, but we can make to group stages..key thing will be how our clubs will be fixing their weak areas during summer?

in Eurocups we are going to have Baku, Khazar, Inter and Garabagh. I have mixed feeling about Neftchi missing out on Eurocups... again. It would also be nice if we could see Gabala with Tony Adams.

Next year, I tip Gabala and Neftchi to be in euro cups..Both teams will go under big changes in summer.

Good news for Karabakh as they will be seeded for first qualifying round, which contains very easy clubs. However it is still unknown, Karabakh's seeding in 2nd round.

I hope they will be seeded as they will avoid tricky clubs like Maccabi Tel Aviv, Besiktas, Dinamo Bucureşti and Levski Sofia

as far as Baku and Khazar goes, I think I'd rather have Khazar take the Azerbaijan cup this Saturday, because this way, Baku will also be seeded in the 1st round of the EL. Kharar has the lowest ranking of all azeri clubs this year, and had they go to the 1st round they will will be unseeded. As far as 2nd round goes, it depends on a lot of factors - there is a chance that both Garabagh and Baku might be among seeded teams, but Khazar will be unseeded throughout the entire competition. We need easy coefficient points, so that's why I'd much rather have 2 seeded teams in the 1st round so we can pick up points.

Inter is going to be unseeded in the champions league but there are plenty seeded teams there that we can and should pass.

Baku seeded for 2nd round, however XL not seeded..Karabakh will be seeded if they past 2nd round as well..All of our clubs in Europa league can really go far, if they try their best..I am not sure about Inter though..Good luck to all of them

Having two seeded teams in the 2nd round of the EL is great news! We need as many coefficient points as possible. I hope unseeded Khazar and Inter also manage to advance as far as possible. The draw is on June 21st.

Inter drew Polish Lech Poznan. Not a very good draw.

What can you say about your team guys?

We are not as strong as two years ago when we had a pretty good run in the UEFA Cup (defeating Khazar at the beginning of the campaign). We just lost our best player (Robert Lewandowski sold for 5 m € to Borussia Dortmund) and are without a proper striker for the time being.

Damn, I wanted to avoid Inter for Lech...As my compatriot said, Lech isn't such strong as two years ago, especially Lewandowski's lose will be really difficult to patch up...

Hey, guys

Inter is a solid team that plays attacking football - they have a pretty good mix of foreign and domestic players. But their game is far from perfect. They've added few new players this summer and they have kept pretty much all their key players from last season. Going to be an interesting encounter but I'll give an advantage to Lech for it has more experience. Probably 60-40.

in Europa League

Unseeded Khazar drew Olimpia from Moldova. Will they be able to break Moldovan curse this time around?

Very blunt draw

"Khazar" will advance, as I said before , "Inter" will get ass kicked, as usual, and I'll give us 50/50 chance in other pairs.
Right now looks like "Qarabag" may have easier road to 3-rd round (Portdown-Sconto) than "Khazar" (Dinamo Bucharest). Hard to say anything about "Baki" new coach, new system, average opponent can go either way.
Don't see much excitement, expecting average euro season, don't see group stage material but GL to everyone!

I'm done with our NT, they drive me crazy!
As long as they not beat somebody I know and score at least twice, I'm not interested.
Please let me know when that happens

I'm currently unsure which team can go advance but if I go with my strategy

XL and Karabakh will advance, Inter will lose, Baku 50/50

Meanwhile, Baku signed a lot of decent players, Karabakh's Medvedev out for tomorrow's clash.
