Unibank Premier League 2009-10 - PFC Inter

New season - New topic.

I am very concerned about Karvan and Standard, I think they have issues with finances and could be in potential danger.
FK Mughan - needs to improve every stuff about the club..from players to the wasted pitch
Turan - they were lucky to stay in league, good signings are required..
Simurg - Very impressed by team, hopefully injuries will not put this club in to tough situation like last time.
Gabala - good club, new stadium - we don't want bitter ending like MKT-Araz
XL - I don't see this club dissolving but if I was XL fan, I would have worried to see Mansimov in BJK's game so often. He may takeover BJK.
Olimpik Baku - very mysterious club, always with surprises
Neftchi Baku - They will be back in their feet, IF they sign decent players
Karabakh - Back to Aghdam, home crowd will increase potential power of this club..Also nice to see Karabakh's regions develop.
Inter Baku - We expect solid performance as usual
FK Baku - I am again, putting ma' money on them to making it double...Gjoko is wonderful coach

Standard might be moving to Sumqayit. At least rumors about it are circulating pretty heavily.

Also, is it true Azercell will be official sponsor of the league? or they are just partners?

Guys, how many games will be in this year's premier league? 33 or ..?

so far nothing has changed. 2 cycles with 12 teams (22 games) and then 2 cycles with top 6 teams battling for medals (10 games) and 6 bottom teams battling for the spot in the APL.

Therefore each team will play 32 games which is an equivalent of having a 17-team championship.

the award is given according to performance in Azeri Premier League. It could go to any player. If you meant best azerbaijani player then I don't know who got it.

no, the second cycle will be with 6 teams and those 6 teams will retain their points that they've collected in the preceding games against each other.

That is at the end of the first cycle, if, for example, Neftchi had 30 points, then in the second cycle Neftchi will keep all the points that it got against other top 5 teams, but will lose all points that it got from lower part of the table teams.

on August 14 the AFFA Executive committee will decide on foreigners limit in the AzPL. The limit most probably will be reinstated, which as you probably already know, I strongly oppose. I say there should be no limit, but AFFA seems to tilt the other way. On of the proponents of the limit, though, is Berti Vogts. Who would have thought I'd see a day when Ras and Berti would be on the same side of the barricade.
