Each much we play under Diniyev disgusts me. What can I say? Miracles happen and who knows what may happen? But what is for sure - any positive result will be a matter of circumstances that do not depend on our coach (stars in the sky, status of sun regarding planets, predictions of Nostradamus etc).
Definitely, Portugal and Serbia are favourite sides. But sometimes little boys (Tagizade or Imamaliyev) do some magic.

We all know our HC, what was his name, stubborn SOB and nothing going to change in regard to his game tactics or team roster. One more lost season in history of Azerbaijan NT, although team made some mild progress, I hope nobody expects we’ll have same coach year from now. Replacement should come from Western Europe (my preferences will be Germany, GB and Holland) we need somebody who can be independent and stands above all this turf fighting in our football.
We still have 4 game left and 3 of them at home. As far as prognosis goes I would say (1-4) points, which is horrible because it’s basically guaranteed last place in group standing. On the game by game bases I really believe we can beat or at least do not lose to our opponents, all of whom had a hard time in Baku in resent history (wishful thinking). Good news for me is, I will have an opportunity to watch these games live at the stadium. I’m heading back in October for couple months.

Guys, I understand all our current problem, nonetheless, there is some hope that we might at least record 4 points. Belgium and Serbia can be beaten in Baku, if of course luck will be on our side. Under luck I also assume weak performances from our opponents. As an example, Kazakhstan have recently managed to draw with Belgium, despite losing 0-2. It may be that the Belgian team had a bad day or they simply underestimated the Kazakhs, but still such matches show that even a clear outsider can play against quite strong teams, everything depends only on themselves. If they go out as their last game of their lives, then they will surely achieve successful result. I really hope that something will be changed at our national team, although even less than one month is remaining till the essential encounters with Portugal and Serbia at home. If we play against the Portuguese and Serbs in the same way as we did against Georgia, then it is not even worth going out on the pitch. However, I'm of the opinion that some players are in bad conditions because our national league has recently started, therefore one month should be enough to get back to their appropriate form. I also expect much from our small representation in Europe, in particular, Sasha Yunisoglu from Polish Groclin Dyskobolia and Ilgar Gurbanov from FC Sivasspor. They have not been called up for the last two international matches, but they should become our key players in the forthcoming month. And taking into account that both of them are given opportunities to go out and play for their teams, Yunisoglu and Gurbanov should be totaly fit when the games against Portugal and Serbia will take place.
The only thing which makes me a litte bit happy is that we have already reached our best record in qualifying campaigns, earning 5 points. As a result, each point we earn from now on will set a new record. As I said, 4 more points should be a normal task, taking into account that we play three home matches and one away game against the team we have beaten. Belgium have already lost all chances to qualify for Euro 2008, therefore, they will arrive in Baku without any motivation, which will be a positive aspect for us.

Both Serbia and Portugal can be left without EURO 2008, if they lose points in Azerbaijan

everyone's "favorite" Emin Imamaliyev got an injury on a training and will most probably will miss upcoming games. Shahin replaced him with Elvin Aliyev from Olimpik.

Now only if Aslan Kerimov got a knock on a head I'd be even happier
