I like the first pic the best. Youve got the bridge leading the view into the picture. The second last is not bad either, the mirroring effect in the water is interesting. Maybe it could have been a bit more of that and less of the sky.

Fantastic pictures, and obviously your subject is most excellent. But tell me, did you use a tripod for this? I also wouldn't mind some data on aperture/shutter/iso

I absolutely love the effect of the slightly overexposed light on the buildings in the distance

Btw you could put these on a site like caedes.net.

Thanks guys!

Numerodix: Yeah, I used a tripod for all of them. I don't recall exactly these, but I think most shots had the aperture set at around 8.0, and ISO wasn't more than 400 (I generally try to keep it as low as possible)

Oh, so you needed the iso even with a tripod? Did you down sample them here so the noise wouldn't show or?

I've had a heck of a time trying to get any sort of meaningful dark photography. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and get a tripod for that. Don't exactly cherish the prospect of carrying it around but oh well.

Ps. Didn't notice you're already a deviant

Well sometimes I get bored of waiting for ages for pics to come out so I increase the ISO, luckily on the SLR that I have the increase in ISO doesn't REALLY show...

Night shots without a tripod are very hard, unless you have a stable surface or very steady hands... It took me ages to just accept the fact that a tripod essential for these, now it's always in the boot of my car just in case... There are some small foldable ones, a photographer I met earlier today told me about a "monopod", which is a stand with just one leg, low height, small and easy to carry, good to take balanced photos and such...

I have a Canon powershot G7 and for some reason the pictures on it tend to have quite a bit of noise in them even when the iso number is low (And it's supposed to be 10 MPs, my SLR is 10.1 MPs and it's way better...)

Megapixles ae just irrelevant when it comes to cams, even my previous cam which I lost, it was a 7.sth small Nikon, but still, the quality was lacking...

Hey, just saw your reply :S, I don't recall to be honest, but my obvious answer would be that the brighter one had a slower shutter speed

there's something very strange about that city...in the first two sets it comes off as a some kind of high-tech ghost town. Then in the final ghetto set it gets a human face.

Big games are easy than the other games, unfortunately. Every times we have the control the games, under the control the games, during the games we had the some possibilities, some big chances, some big okazyons, something like that but what can I do, sometimes? And….it’s the football, that’s the football, something happened. Everything is something happened. - Fatih Terim
